Where did the 700 years come from? What proof is there the flood was at the time of the ice age? As I said, my opinion is that the flood was 70,000,000 years ago (science time) which equals about 4500 actual real years ago.

What 700 years?
And he wants "proof" of ice age timing, but all the rest of the Noah story is OK with him?
I remember when I was little and my mom started telling me "the good news" and it all sounded pretty
hokey to me, until she got to Noah's Ark and I became an atheist.
I didn't know it at the time, though. But over the years I've always felt it's the worst, stupidest
pile of bullshit in the book, and that's saying something. There's a lot of crap in there I've always
felt is there just to test the gullibility of the target audience; if they'll buy this they'll buy
anything. I'm surprised he's accepting an ice age. Science, oooh, evil!
my opinion is that the flood was 70,000,000 years ago
Brought back by Apollo 15 astronauts, the 'Genesis Rock':

Second man on the Moon, Dr. Buzz Aldrin - of Apollo 11 fame - never questioned the veracity of findings on such by NASA scientists.
Dr. Aldrin is a Conservative Christian .
He would also agree with said scientists: who proved that the Moon is the exact age as the Earth: 4.5 billion years. And that the universe is nearly 14 billion years old.
Do you have a Ph.D from MIT, dad? Dr . Aldrin does.
Therefore someone's wrong.
Time? Max Planck disagrees. Distances between stars measured in in light-years . I know someone who agrees: with anyone but you .
Moral: Reconciling one's faith with proven scientific fact . It's a thing.
Reality: 'Opinions' not allowed.
This is NOT an intelligent WTF.
remembers me a 1985 graffiti seen in the parisian suburb : "skin aid : give them a brain". Would be more pabtist aid, there...
Science...time.
Excuse me for a moment. I need to parse this bit of insanity.
Time, as a concept, is not separated into "science" and "fairy-tail". Time is time.
A day is approximately 24 hours. A year is approximately 365 solar days. 700 million years is 700 million years.
@Nerikull_Murakami
I think he got this strange idea that when scientists measure time, they have this weird time scale where 70 million years to them is equal to 4500 "real" years. So when a scientist says that something happened so many years ago, that's code used to fool the public, and we have to use complex math to find out what they really mean!
Let's do the math, everybody!
70,000,000/4500=15,555.555...56, or approximately 15,555.6 science years per actual year.
given 365 days in a year, that means that 15,555.6/365= about 42.618 science years per day. So when a scientist says something happened 1000 years ago, that means it actually happened 23 days ago, according to dad1's logic.
So "science years" are like "dog years" but more so?
Does that mean that if a scientist gets a dog, it only lives for a few minutes or something? That would suck.
"70,000,000 years ago (science time) which equals about 4500 actual real years ago"
Ah.
Scientists don't know how to date strata, either through incompetence or intentional deceit, and the real time is revealed by a particular way of reading the Old Testament, taking Ussher's assumptions as perfect.
