There is no such thing as a Christian who is not a Christian Fundamentalist.
They are either one in the same or they never existed in the first place.
If you're not a Christian fundamentalist, you're not a Christian.
Its that simple.

"Its (sic) that simple"
No it is NOT that simple! I am a Christian and not a fundie...I've accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and I believe that you should be tolerant of other beliefs too-you know, like Jesus Himself taught! Fundies are fond of conveniently ignoring such pesky concepts as love, peace, tolerance and charity and instead focusing on the negatives such as judgment, hate, fear and condemnation. Yes, one can be very well be a Christian without being a fundaMENTAList, in fact; by very definition of the word "Christian", the non-Fundie Christians are actually BETTER Christians than Fundies!
OK, too much is just too much... <grab cluebat>
IT <whack!> IS <whack!> "ONE <whack!> AND <whack!> THE <whack!> FRIKKING <whack!> SAME" <whack!>, YOU <whack!> ASSTARD! <whack!> And your arrogant no-true-Scotsmaning earns you a complimentary kick to the groin! Lucky you!
Well good to know that you people are a tiny minority then. The problem is, though, is that even among Christian fundamentalists there are differences in doctrine and belief, so that some fundies think that other fundies aren't true Christians.
I actually welcome this division because if Chrstians were all totally, 100% united in everything, then we'd be totally fucked.
"There is no such thing as a Christian who is not a complete fucking idiot.
They are either one and the same or they never existed in the first place.
If you're not a complete fucking idiot, you're not a Christian.
Its that simple."
See how easy it is to spout bullshit? I know a lot of christians who are not complete fucking idiots, but I can type whatever I wish sitting at this desk, and you can't do a fucking thing about it. Na na na NA na!
Is that the story you're going to stick with? Or is your tune suddenly going to change when you need to tell us about how Christians are the majority or how 2 billion people can't possibly be wrong? Because honestly, I've seen so many other morons trying to have it both ways that it could be a drinking game that keeps me eternally drunk.
As so often before, this is an exact parallel to the argument that the fundamental Muslims use. Why is it that people like this can't see that obvious parallel? Or could it be that Christian fundamentalism has been influenced, consciously or unconsciously, by Islamic fundamentalism? Could it be that there's some sort of though process which goes something like, well, they have fundamentalists, we'll be fundamentalist too.
And I know that Islamic fundamentalism was originally influenced by Christian fundamentalism, and was influenced by it.

Better stop using that web browser then (and go back to using the graphically unglamourous & user un friendly Usenet). As what you're using now - the WWW - was invented by Sir Tim Berners-Lee. A Unitarian Universalist.
It's that simple.
The concept of not interpreting the Bible literally goes all the way back to the 4th century early Christians, and has been accepted by most mainstream Christians ever since. It's the fundamentalists who have invented their own separate religion - most of them within the last two centuries and mostly in English-speaking countries - so it would be easier to argue that if you're a fundamentalist, you're not a Christian.
"If you're not a Christian fundamentalist, you're not a Christian."
A tent show revivalist , in other words?
If you're not a Christian fundamentalist, you're not a Christian.
That may be the case, but I strongly suspect you have no idea what the fundamentals of Christianity actually are , and if you did, you probably wouldn't like it.
Both Jesus and Paul (at least I'm coming to think so, based on re-reading some of his letters) were incredibly tolerant individuals.
Jesus demanded that you not judge other individuals, feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and stop focusing on material gain on earth over spiritual gain in heaven.
Paul believed you should focus on yourself, and not worry about what other Christians were doing. He also told Christians who were married to "pagans" to not use this as a reason for divorce, not be hypocritical, and to not make being a Christian harder than it had to be.
I very rarely see any of this in Fundamentalist literature today, ergo, American Christian fundamentalists are not really fundamentalist Christians.
And you're not a true Christian Fundamentalist male until you've scalded your testicles into sterility with hot chicken fat.
Aw hell, it was worth a try. I had every reason to think they'd believe it.
If you're not a Christian fundamentalist, you're not a Christian.
I've stumbled over this definition of "Christian" a number of times.
The mainstream defines a "Christian" as a person who belongs to a christian denomination, most probably by baptism at one age or another, regardless of whether the person is church going and pious or not.
For the fundamentalists these people are not Christians. In their eyes a Christian is a re-born fundamentalist Baptist who can name the day he/she was "saved" and spends all day talking about nothing other than dear sweet Jesus, having been washed in the blood of the lamb, the next church function, how everybody else is a hypocrite, and how happy he/she is.
If you're not a Christian fundamentalist, you're not a Christian.
This is only partly true. Stopping at being just a fundamentalist is the wuss way.
A true Christian lets himself be crucified at 33 as a sacrifice for all our sins.
If you make it to 34, you ain't no Christian, no ya ain't.
Wow. This is possibly the most egregious No True Scotsman I've ever seen.
I guess I have to explain to you how your own religion works, then. Here goes:
A Christian is someone who believes that Jesus Christ was the son of God and died on the cross for their sins.
That's it. Anyone who believes that is a Christian, regardless of what else they may believe. Your pathetic attempts to force people to accept your maniacal political beliefs in the name of your religion only weaken your overall political power.
To Wyatt Junker - No, it's not that simple. Like others have said, to be a Christian in the conventional sense, you must believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He came to this Earth to teach how to interact with the World and gave us a path towards Salvation when He died on the Cross.
Being Republican or politically conservative has nothing to do with Christianity.
To all non-Christians @FSTDT:
I hope that with statement from our fellow village idiot Wyatt Junker, you also get a glimpse of what we Christians must deal with. These You-aren't-Christian-because-you-don't-worship-Jesus-the-way-I-do types can really be as big a thorn to the side as to you all.
Off topic, but I have just seen a one-liner post by Anon-e-moose. Oh, and no italics, bolding or - well - insults, either :P
Hell has frozen over, and the pigs are flying! :D
A joke I found...
I was walking across a bridge one day, and I saw a man standing on the edge, about to jump. I ran over and said: "Stop. Don't do it."
"Why shouldn't I?" he asked.
"Well, there's so much to live for!"
"Like what?"
"Are you religious?"
He said, "Yes."
I said, "Me too. Are you Christian or Buddhist?"
"Christian."
"Me too. Are you Catholic or Protestant?"
"Protestant."
"Me too. Are you Episcopalian or Baptist?"
"Baptist."
"Wow. Me too. Are you Baptist Church of God or Baptist Church of the Lord?"
"Baptist Church of God."
"Me too. Are you original Baptist Church of God, or are you Reformed Baptist Church of God?"
"Reformed Baptist Church of God."
"Me too. Are you Reformed Baptist Church of God, Reformation of 1879, or Reformed Baptist Church of God, Reformation of 1915?"
He said: "Reformed Baptist Church of God, Reformation of 1915."
I said: "Die, heretic scum," and pushed him off.
Classic for the religious to dismiss others, including those in their religious current, as not being the true ones. No true scotsman. Then there are various definitions for fundamentalism and there also was a "the fundamentals" creed, but it's often used to refer to the level of radicalism.
Confused?
