Isn't this what the atheists and secular humanist religions are doing? By taking God out of the schools you have to replace it with something else. So, instead of biblical truths we now have teachers telling us we were once apes a billion years ago. Your statement makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Atheism and secularism are both the very antithesis of religion. There is no system to not believing in any gods, nor is there a belief involved in focusing on the physical world here and now (secularism). It is tangible, after all.
When I tried searching for secularism in the same thesaurus, I only got the word heresy as search-word. Doesn't sound that religious, does it?

By taking God out of our schools over here, we have five minutes each morning to ask the kids how they are doing, rather than singing a hymn before school starts. That's about it.
Oh, and the subject known as "Christian knowledge" when I started school, was later renamed "Religious knowledge".
Rather than replace anything, we filled the subject with info on all the major religions on Earth.

Biology is still basically the same subject, though. It is just updated each year with all the new discoveries done in the past year.

As opposed to... what? Telling kids that this universe, this world and all the life on it was just magicked into being by an invisible sky wizard, and that he took a lump of dirt and made a man from it. Then took a rib from said dirt-man and cloned a woman from it. And said clone-woman was tricked into eating a magic education-inducing apple by a talking snake etc, ad infinitum ad nauseam, and saying to said kids that this is fact?!

The likes of Michael Behe presented far more credible evidence in Kitzmiller vs. Dover, and the Conservative Christian Judge John E. Jones III still ruled for the plaintiffs.

'Taking God out of the schools'? 'Instead of biblical truths we now have teachers telling us we were once apes a billion years ago'? Kitzmiller vs. Dover made teaching 'Creationism' in US schools unconstitutional. Who ensured that? John E. Jones III. Who was appointed to the Federal bench by President George Dumbya Bush himself. And who was it who voted in Dumbya as president, hmmmmmm?!

Your logic, based on the above, makes no sense whatsoever. Certainly to John E. Jones III. Certainly in this case, your agenda based on your own beliefs & politics has now been destroyed. And it's all your fault.

For more than 40 years, a host of irresponsible and self-serving religious and political leaders, abetted by sloppy reporting by the news media, have convinced many Americans that the Supreme Court won’t let Johnny pray in the “godless public schools.”

Nonsense. The Court has never outlawed prayer or banned religion from public schools. Students always have been and are today free to pray in public schools alone or in groups, as long as their prayers don’t disrupt the school or interfere with the rights of others.

There is absolutely nothing in the Constitution that keeps Johnny from saying grace at lunch, asking for divine help before the math quiz, forming a prayer club, or gathering around the flagpole to pray with classmates.

You wouldn’t know this, by the way, from reading some of the local newspapers. Articles described this as “an order against any prayer or promotion of religion in schools.” No mention was made of the myriad ways students are free to pray and share their faith while in school.

Here’s the truth about God in public schools: There is more student religious expression in public schools today than at any time in the past one hundred years. Students are forming hundreds of religious clubs (mostly Christian), handing out religious literature, praying with their friends, speaking up about their beliefs in class, and in many other ways expressing their faith during the school day. So much for the godless public school.
