The fact that Christianity appears to face more attacks about its beliefs, and practices than any other world religion would suggest to me that it is the one true religion. The forces of evil do not waste their energy attacking religiond which pose it no threat.

So, the fact that atheism is attacked more than christianity (try running for political office as a "freethinker"), is further proof of its truth, I suppose.
Falung Gong, Muslims(shiia muslims particularly), Buddhist in some countries and Drutz are not persecuted?, in which alternative world are you living?, or do you
a)believe that what happens in America happens in the world
b)that 1/3 of the population is really persecuted?
"The fact that Christianity appears to face more attacks about its beliefs, and practices than any other world religion would suggest to me that it is the one true religion."
I don't know if that IS a fact, but if it is, I suspect Christianity receives "more attacks" because it is the most popular religion, more members, more chances for "attacks."
Also, the greater the number of attacks against and idea, do not usually indicate that that idea is true. Quite the opposite, in fact.
"The forces of evil do not waste their energy attacking religiond which pose it no threat."
And, yet, you and your Christian wingnut pals always seem to have your panties in a twist about Islam, so, by your "logic," Islam must be true, eh?
Surely it depends what country you are in? In America, I would imagine, just as many criticisms if not more are made against Islam, especially since 9/11.
Yeah, you gotta feel sad for those christians whos citys are being bombed into rubble, and who live under foreign rule, oh wait, those are muslims.
Religions such as yours have a god and the bad guys. The bad guys are considered forces of evil and they are the ones to blame whenever something happens that you can't reconcile with your "Loving" god. Since most of the folk you know are christians, then obviously any time one of them has a sickness, hardship or injury of some sort, then it was YOUR forces of evil attacking them for their godliness, trying to drive them to the darkside.
Do you know what forces of evil affect other religions? Their own devils, demons and monsters, that they believe in. Now what you DON'T see, is atheists being attacked by demons or devils or monsters as we don't believe in them. That goes to show you that your forces of evil are only as effective and real as you make them. There is no man in red poking yours or my butts with a pitchfork. That is a myth, and no one has ever actually seen a devil, the name is thrown at anything "scary" that someone has a problem with. Think of the word 'bedeviled'. It means to be confused or perplexed. Something unknown and confusing is scary, so it's called the work of the devil. That's not demonic activity, that's merely fear and ignorance.
There seems to be a typo in that post.
It should read:
"The forces of evil do not waste their energy promoting religions which pose it no threat."
Of course, I have no problem with Christianity, mind you. It's the twisted, hate-inspired version that fundies have invented that I dislike.
This one made me chuckle. Christianity today is probably the least presecuted faith in the entire world. It's the largest publicly-acknowledged faith, exists in more nations than any other faith, is wealthier than any other faith, owns more property, land, and tangible assets than any other faith, is more politically-influential than any other faith, is more established in the industrialized world than any other faith, is more readily accepted in the industrialized world than any other faith, enjoys more preferential legal and financial benefits than any other faith, and is given more credit for modern civilization than any other faith.
Just because you feel persecuted when you are prevented from persecuting others does not make the Christian faith a big victim.

Try going to Kashmir or the border between Israel and Palestine, or just look at what's going on in Iraq between Shiites and Sunnis. And in Northern Ireland, it's Christian against Christian.
It would seem the biggest "persecution" of Christians in America actually comes from Christians... that's right, Christians (fundementalist Baptists) attacking Christians (Catholics, Lutherans, Anglicans, Quakers...)
The only ones that attack religions are humans. And if a human was enlightened and saw which religion was the "True One", it would join it, not attack it.
Unless you believe there is some sort of demon (what you might call the evil forces) driving the masses while your god is doing fuck-knows-what, your argument is useless. And if you do, you are in a whole new level of wacky.
So, if people agree with you, that means Christianity is right.
and if people disagree with you, that means Christianity is right.
And if most persecuted = correct
Then,
Christianity is true in China,
Judaism is true in most Muslim countries,
Islam is true in Israel,
and Atheism is true in America.
"The forces of evil do not waste their energy attacking religiond which pose it no threat."
But the forces of freedom and human decency tend to respond appropriately to people who use their religion as a weapon.
No, it's more likely because it's believers tend to be louder and more obnoxious about it. You stand on a pedestal, and hold a bullseye, someone's gonna take a pot shot or two, buddy.
Actually, by the standard presented in the quote -- "most attacks on X", therefore "X must be true" -- throughout history, the ancient pagan religions, the Old Ways, must therefore be TRUTH. [Forced conversion of indigenous peoples, followed by the slaughter of those who refused... Started in Rome, spread to Europe, and decimated the natives of North and South America.]
Suck on that, fundie!
Do you have any evidence to back up your "fact"?
IF Christiantiy is more attacked than the others, it might be because it's the largest one.
I'd guess that most of the attacks are from within... (See The Troubles, for example.)
Christianity APPEARS to face more attacks about its beliefs if you've been brainwashed to believe we're not allowed to criticize you and must bow to your demands of it being part of everything and everyone.
Which I'm sure is your definition of "attacks".
You and most fundamentalists began this "let's violate the First Amendment and bitch about religious persecution or freedom of speech when they call us on it" shit years ago and it's at least a monthly stunt somewhere in America now.
It's a double win for you because you piss of the legal system, invoke the UCLA into action then act like victims for your own actions. You then further aggravate those against these violations by ridiculously claiming ,in full bullshit mode, that the First Amendment doesn't prohit this practice. And the ones in your crowd that finally concede this then still insist your religious rights trump all legal and goverment laws.
Confused?
