Can you prove that without using biblically-derived sources?
Evolution is scientific theory, nothing more. There is no dogma, no worship, no diety. Prove to me that there are.
Telling lies like this is not a very good way to gain entrance to those Pearly Gates, you know. You may think lying to get people to believe in your god is a good thing, but your god, through Moses, has said differently.
I saw the Nightline story about this. One of the tour guides said that dating fossils based on which layer of rocks they are found in is "circular reasoning". It was hilariously ironic and incorrect.
They're not dating the fossil based on the layer and the layer based on the fossil! The deeper down, the older it is. It's that simple.
Ah yes, the 'evolution is a religion' argument. Some people really can't concieve that other people's lives can simply have an absence of religion.
This frightens them so much that even a false religion is better than none.
By the way, to make it more correct, he ISN'T lying. (Whoa, SURPRISE) He's just wrong. Which one is worse exactly?

You know, Nightline was talking about this a while ago--at the end, this small girl said to the camera something along the lines of, "Creationism makes more sense than Evolution. We didn't EVOLVE from an asteroid a million jillion years ago!"
This reminds me so much of arguing with a 2-year-old.

You forgot to assert where creationism stands on the "cult" and "religion" thing. Come on - after all, you're the one who brought them up!
You've already shown yourself able to lie your little Christian socks off about there being no evidence for evolution and there being evidence for the validity of christianity - why do you shy away from explicitly making the only marginally bigger lie that Christianity isn't a religious cult, instead merely implying it?
