I don't know of any highschooler ever get a chance to practice Theory of Evolution in the material sense, i.e. make a living out of it, by providing goods or services, but maybe in the moral sense "I'm bigger so I'll bully smaller kids and steal their money".
Just about any other school subject is more useful.
Let students have choices. Those who choose impractical subjects such as TE would have a handicap in life and by natural selection ....

as opposed to all those kids out there creating life out of dirt?
Evolution would be dealt with in either a general science class or, more specifically, in a biology class. It would never be presented as an independent course except at the university level. But getting back to the science class, we all know that what comes out of that class is totally kick ass!
Since evolution explains WHAT things are like, not how they should be, in other words, is science, not morality, your point is totally missed.

And those who choose to reject it should experience the consequences of their choice too:

Education isn't training.
I've seen a lot of fundies practice that attitude. "We're in the majority and you're in the minority, so we should be in charge and you should sit down and shut up!" Of course, like most bullies, they turn into snivelling wimps whenever they neet someone they can't push around, and whine about being "oppressed." The problem of bullying has more to do with faculty, parents and other students not doing anything about it for any number of reasons.
Hm, things a high schooler could do with the ToE to make a living? Plant breeder, pet breeder (dogs, pigeons mostly), pharmacy tech, biolab gofer.
As I've stated elsewhere: Evolution is taught for what? maybe two weeks of science class? The basic theory is presented with some examples of change over time. Not a big chunk out of their educational time budget.
Only if they wish to persue careers in biology or medical doctrates that intense university training comes in.
It's about Religious control over education, Not the theory or the time involved that concerns these fundies.

Not quite, bucko. It's more like after the big kid starts stealing the smaller kids' money they either start finding ways of avoiding him, or gang up to overpower him. It's not might makes right. It's an environment finding equilibrium.

Plenty of christian kids are mean bullies.
Also, evolution has brought alot of advancements in modern medicine.

They can't be anymore handicapped than you.
I totally agree, let the kids decide!
Between chemistry and alchemy,
Medicine and voodoo,
Pharmacy and faith healing,
Sex ed. or the "stork theory",
and lastly,
Evolution or creationism.
Then we will have a good ol' cuntry called "jesusland".
What's impractical with ToE? And don't students have choices what to major in? You have to study lots of other things too, to be able to cope in the real world, and to be reasonably well-informed, so you can have intelligent conversations with others.
People who spend their school years bullying people often miss the learning part of school, and are handicapped later in life. Their attitude is not that popular with future employers either.
But what have this to do with ToE? The theory says "survival of the most adaptable". If it was "survival of the strongest" we would not have humming birds or stick insects, or butterflies.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
