Since Satanism came on the scene, wearing all black has been a sign of worship of Satan. In fact, look at the garb most catholic priests wear - all black. This dates back to the pagan worship instituted by Nimrod and his wife.
It is not coincidental that when you wore all black, you only wanted to sit alone in your room listening to metal.

I wear all black every now and then to go out and I'm not young enough to like listening to metal. I do not do it all the time, but every now and then when I want to wear my black pants, a black shirt matches and so I put it on. Last I checked, the devil didn't make me do it.
Ergo, catholic priests sit alone in their rooms listening to metal.
That's strange, I didn't realize that organ was a popular instrument in metal music.
Or maybe fundies can't do logic, and wildly assert things without bothering to think them through.
As a side note, I sometimes wear all black, and am neither catholic, nor a satanist, nor someone who listens to metal.
OK, kids, let's list all the things that mean you worship Satan! Wearing black; playing rock 'n' roll; smoking; drinking; having sex; laughing; playing D&D*; smiling; cursing; crying; arguing and debating! Can anyone think of anything else? Yes, watching movies, that's one; anyone else?
* But of course if you play Palladium games, you're off the hook because they have a disclaimer stating they don't encourage magic use or demon worship in the front of their books.
My theory for why there are so many accusations of "Satan Worship" tied to various activities is either because of -
a) fear
b) they know they'd love to do, or try, these things, but can't. Therefore, they need to come up with a "better" excuse. But hey, what do I know?
Catholic priests wear that garb in movies. However, in real life, the color they wear is based on their Order. My priests wore light blue. Of course a bunch of priests in powder blue listening to metal music doesn't quite have the effect you wanted, right?
"It is not coincidental that when you wore all black, you only wanted to sit alone in your room listening to metal."
Sounds like they were actually doing something meaningful with their time, which is more than I can say for you.
Nope. Some Catholic priests wear black as a symbol of the sinful human nature of all people. That's why when they go to conduct a mass they don a white surplice to signify the perfection of Christ bestowed on all men through His sacrifice, and why children are dressed in white for baptism and communion. Some priests wear brown, or blue, or grey, or even red. Depends on personal preference and the Priestly Order they might be affiliated with.
It's symbolism, nothing more.
I frequently wear all black, but I don't listen to Metal. I listen to other types of music associated with dressing in monochrome. After all, black is one of the best colours to wear when attending the symphony.
Nuns, Johnny Cash, Snydely Whiplash, Abe Lincoln, ninjas, Darth Vader, Mr.T, Trinity from the Matrix, Aeon Flux (the cartoon, not the crappy movie), Betty Boop, Keith Richards, and Fonzie. Yep! Your theory is solid Bro. Randy! Oh what other enlighten thoughts to you have, tell us, tell us! It's a sandal! This is a sign that we should gather shoes in abundance! Hold up the sandal!

Which during the Iron Age was very likely not copper.
So, Catholic Priests and any Christian priest for that matter are Satanists? Hm... Fred Phelps, Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell... you may have a point there.
Well, in that case blame everybody who goes to a funerall, or to a night reception or to the office. Being superficial is blissful for some, apparently.
Depends on the time of year what color Catholic priests wear, as well as the particular church. At one church I attended, the priest wore green most of the year, blue in Advent, purple in Lent, yellow during the Easter season, and red for Pentecost. Never black, oddly enough.
OTOH, if you're dumb enough to judge someone by their choice of clothing, there really isn't much hope for you anyway.
Wait, so New Zealand's national rugby union team, the All Blacks (so named for their all black uniform), are Satanists now? Well, I'm sure some Australians would like to think that Satanic intervention goes some way to explaining why the New Zealand All Blacks are the most successful rugby team (and possibly any sports team full stop) of all time rather than the Australian Wallabies! ;)
And I guess I am damned and Satanic, because yesterday, I did sit alone in my room wearing an All Blacks shirt and enjoying some progressive death metal. Mmm, Opeth and Orphaned Land.
LOL!
This is one of the rare ones I actually laughed at, as opposed to merely smiling or perhaps shaking my head sadly... I listen to metal all the time (right now, even), and currently the only black shirts I got are Motley Crue and Guns N Roses... come to think of it, I think just about everything I do would scare the shit out of this guy.
Oh yeah, the mental image of a group of black-robed priests sitting on a bedroom floor enjoying some metal blasting out of some huge-ass speakers is pretty funny... :)
Hehehe. ^^
What is it with fundies metal-obsession?
Do they even know what metalmusic is?
I sure have heard many songs way worse than metal. Yet I haven't heard a single fundie rant about gabber... Like Neophytes song "Blow your brains", which I'm currently listening to... wearing pink shirt and limegreen pants.
I was hoping that someone else would comment on this part of Bro. Randy's post, but nobody seems to have taken it up. My biblical knowledge is sketchy at best, but the only mention of Nimrod in the Bible that I can recall said that he was a "mighty hunter," but not really anything else of consequence. So what is this about him (and his wife) allegedly establishing some kind of "pagan worship"?
~David D.G.
To sum it up, Nimrod (name gets spelled a lot of different ways) was a Mesapotamian king and the great-grandson of Noah. In Hebrew stories, Nimrod was a great advocater of paganism and idol worship, while Abraham believed in monotheism. (Read the wiki. It explains it better.)
Anyone else feel the urge sometimes to lock Bro. Randy in a room and blast "Leper Messiah" on an infinite loop?

Back in the renaissance era people wore bright flamboyant colors such as purple, pink, yellow to show off their status as higher up in society. But nowadays they are considered girly colors.
people now wear colors to express themselves and what is stylish, not their status.
And I love Faggy Goth bands.
You need something more brutal than just black. If we made chainmail shirts, painted black with spikes. No, you have it inside out, the spikes are supposed to be on the inside. Now that's metal.
Wearing all black all the time - check.
Listening to blasphemous satanic black metal - check.
Alone in my room - check.
Damn, Brother Randy really got me there.
But satanic, me? Nope. Satanism (especially theistic satanism, but also that stupid shit the Church of Satan teaches) is just as stupid to me as every other religion.
Deathspell Omega still make incredibly great music.
So, wait, black clothing itself is a tool of the devil? That... that is a seriously bent worldview, there, Randy.
OK, I actually am a Satanist. We don't all wear black all the time. We wear black robes or similar attire for some formal occasions but that's all. The rest of the time, we dress much the same as anyone else. Right now, I'm wearing grey sweats and a green shirt. And there's no particular occult significance to the robes being black either. We don't wear it to symbolise our hatred of the world or something.
Secondly, and I can't believe I'm defending the RCC here, Catholicism is not Satanic. In fact, for most of history, it was the main form of Christianity.
"We're not fascists! Fascists wear black and tell people what to do...."
--Father Ted
Hmmm....I'm wearing a purple shirt and blue jeans and I've been listening to the soundtrack for "Cabaret". Wonder what that means? (BTW, I am female.)
I wear the black for the poor and the beaten down,
Livin' in the hopeless, hungry side of town,
I wear it for the prisoner who has long paid for his crime,
But is there because he's a victim of the times.
I wear the black for those who never read,
Or listened to the words that Jesus said,
About the road to happiness through love and charity,
Why, you'd think He's talking straight to you and me.
Well, we're doin' mighty fine, I do suppose,
In our streak of lightnin' cars and fancy clothes,
But just so we're reminded of the ones who are held back,
Up front there ought 'a be a Man In Black.

Catholics don't worship Satan; they worship the same sky daddy as you. Get this through your fucking thick skull.

Hmm, I don't recall seeing that in your Bible. Chapter and verse, please.
Confused?
