later in the article he says:
Perhaps it was a day spa, or a gym, or a giant celestial clock or calendar. Maybe it was the first Burger King.

Article: Obama Wins. And So Does Fear, Hate and Prop 8
starboymikey: Of all the stupid arguments I hear in favor of denying some right or freedom to gays is this: "Well, homosexuality is a choice, therefore it should not be a right or privilege." Everyone has either spoken or heard some variant of this. What bugs me even more though is the moronic and time-wasting rebuttal that homosexuality is somehow innate, something genetic and therefore not a choice. This argument will be a waste of time until science can prove one side or the other, and that is something science may never be able to do to the satisfaction of everyone. The real point is "who cares?" It doesn't matter whether homsexuality is or is not a choice. The point is that human beings should be able to love whomever they want, freely and without prejudice ... provided only that the relationship is between to consenting adults. To Christians who insist that homosexuality is a choice and can therefore be legislated against, I say, "Isn't being a Christian a choice? *Your choice?" I mean, no one is holding a gun to your head and insisting that you must be a Christian and if you're not you will not be able to marry. I suppose if a ballot measure were passed invalidating your right to have a family because you *chose* to be Christian, you would feel yourself to be a martyr.
