*gasp* It all makes sense now!
No wait, it doesn't. Sorry, your religious book says nothing about why we shouldn't study the world around us.
now we hear the drums, indicating the comedian has just made his punchline.
ta-dam-DAM.
cue recorded audience laughter.
If you are using evidence to refute something, you are relying on the "scientific view" already.
Science (as a program) can't be refuted empirically.
Ah, I see what you've done there. Where he said "Show me evidence that disproves the scientific view" you accidentally read it as "please name the holy Book of Christianity".
It's the sort of easy mistake any idiot could make. Have you considered applying to go on The Weakest Link? You seem stupid enough.
Even from your own logic, that doesn't work.
Some parts of the bible are compatible the scientific view (for example, both science and the bible agree that water is not made of nylon). If the bible really did disprove science, it would also disprove itself. Anything that does that isn't very good evidence now, is it?
Edit: Whoops! Just looked on the link. That guy is really very dumb.
You can't use evidence to disprove science - disproving using evidence is part of the scientific process.
Science, as a method, can be accepted or rejected (philosophically speaking), but not proved or disproved. There's no way to prove science is "Truth", but it WORKS.
drf333: Don't the evolutionist say that pterodactyl are birds?
John: Most certainly not
drf333: So birds did not evolve from dinosaurs?
Pterodactyls weren't actually dinosaurs. That aside, even if they were, any idiot should realize that evolving from something would not mean they were the same thing.
Here's evidence that disproves what is probably your KJV: and from the central place of worship of the source of such, the Church of England, Westminster Abbey:

When they agree, don't bother them about it, you know you've got problems OP.
Confused?
