How would it be in anything other than the public domain? It's not as if you even have the slightest idea who wrote it.
Darwin could have been successfully sued for plageurism, lift off and manipulation.
By who? Which of the hundreds of denominations of christianity would hold the copyright? Also, "lift off" and "manipulation" are not a recognized basis for litigation, in fact if he manipulated the text then it would no longer be plagerism.
All he did was switch words like kind for spiecies, seed for adaptation, etc.
So you believe anything you're told to believe? Because you obviously haven't even bothered to actually read Origin of Species either in part or in whole. That or you are just doing that Lying for Jesus thing that's so popular with you fundies these days.
As for allegedly switching "kind" for species, How is it you expect anybody to believe that when you can't even define the word "kind" yourself except to say that it's not the same a species? Of course you can't say that it does mean the same thing because then the whole Flood myth vanishes in a puff of logic.
Replacing "seed" for "adaption" is just as laughable and incontravertible proof that you didn't even bother to find out what Origin of Species says before going off and making false claims of plagarism about about a book you haven't even so much as looked at, much less read. What is it that you "god" thinks about those who Lie and Bear False Witness? Oh yeah... He sends them to hell for violating his commandments.
