*So essentially you're willing to do anything to, and probably forcibly, convert the non-Christians of the world to Christianity?*

If you could save millions from burning in a lake of fire for all of eternity in their afterlives... would you not do it?

This is not about forcing anyone to do anything. It is about saving people's very souls from damnation... Nowhere is this more necessary than in a part of the world like the Middle East which is rampant with war, poverty, strife, and destructive false gods.

Last time I checked my Bible, it was not Mohammed who died for our sins and came back from the dead... the truth must be spread... at any and all political costs.

The real cost-benefit calculations in politics should focus on the afterlife and not on worldly concerns. For after all, what is life compared to the afterlife? Of what importance is a fraction of existence in the flesh when set against the eternity that is the afterlife?

Should we not try to help the Syrians? Can we responsibly let them damn their own people?

'Turn or Burn' has no teeth in the psychological blackmail stakes, in these more secular and cynical times, especially when we Atheists can force you fundies - via your own Scripture (which you must obey to the letter, or you're going to that 'Lake of Fire', and not us [/paradox]) - 1 Thessalonians 5:21 (KJV):

'Prove all things.'

No evidencee, no acceptee. 1 Thessalonians 5:21 (KJV), and all that jazz...! >:D

Just two examples of how your 'inerrant' Scripture lies. And you cannot spell 'Belief' without the word Lie.

And Romans 11:26-32 fucks up your whole 'No man enters the Kingdom of Heaven, but through Jesus' forced proseltysing BS, when your own Scripture says that Jews - religious or not (even Messianic 'Jews For Jesus') - are going to Heaven regardless, bypassing your 'Jesus', whom even Reform Jews don't regard as their 'Messiah'...

...but Muslims revere Jesus as an important prophet (just not the final one, that's all). So, if anything, we Atheists are more likely to go to Heaven than you & your so-called 'OSAS'/'Grace through Faith only' ilk, GK. Just ask a certain Roman emperor.

And you lot wonder why - especially here in secular Europe - people no longer 'believe'...?!

this is the mindset that enabled the Inquisitions and witch burnings/hangings. Let us suppose there -is- a lake of fire and a god. And for the sake of argument it is the god of the Bible. You will do -anything-(torture or kill or convert at point of sword) to get someone to convert. How do you know the person is converting out of a change of heart as opposed to the torture. And how do you think god will react to the conversion if it is insincere? Who will be held accountable? Maybe you can try living a good life, giving the benefits of being Christian without the hatred of unbelievers and forcing conversions. It might help your cause.

First of all, Mohammed NEVER said that he resurrected and paid for our sins. He was a simple mortal who claimed the title of prohet. That you think that he is the equivalent to Jesus in Islam, doesn't mean that he is. Second, the fact that nobody has seen the afterlife makes your claim ridiculous. What is life compared to the afterlife?, Jesus himself couldn't be clearer himself. You can't love a God you can't see if you ignore your brothers and sisters you see everyday. Same here, I can't invest in an afterlife I'm not completely sure it exists if I don't pay attention to the life that I see.
And last, but not least, is the problem of religion itself. When you force people to convert, you can't guarantee that they actually believe in that religion, beyond their public image at best, that's it. Spanish inquisitors learnt it with both Jews and Muslims the hard way, invaded by the ever lasting paranoia that they may betray them. Furthermore, even the Burnamese Junta is starting to have similar problems with their forced conversions to Buddism.
