Because we would break the laws of gravity and inertia. And we do "fly". We are the freaking "best" flyers on this planet. We do rule the skies. While the peregrine falcon can dive at 300 Mph the average human cruises the air at around 500 Mph. We are the only known animal to break the sound barrier...
