The way things are going, even if the Teabaggers get the candidate they want, considering how such will alienate the mainstream Republican & all-important swing-voters, all it'll take is on that day later this year for said GOP candidate to concede defeat to Obama, and that'll effectively spell the end of the Repubican Party as we know it. Internecine warfare between the mainstream party & the Religious Right; tearing each other apart (to say nothing of the Teabagger factions, re. their own candidate's failings etc), creating a schism that'll result in the Democrats ruling for ever & ever RAmen.
*- Well, you once had John F. Kennedy in the White House: a Catholic; the same 'Whore of Babylon' anti-Protestant Christianity cult as Rantsorbum. Isn't there something in the US Constitution which states that there shall be no religious test for anyone wishing to run as president of your country, Stevie-boy? A rule which means that - as long as said person is born in your country - he/she can be a Muslim, and still have every right to run for that office.
