My husband and I lived together for several years before we married. Does that mean that our home had no head until the day we married? If it managed fine without a head until then, why do we need a head of a home?
I gave my affection and loyalty to my grandmother, to my friends, to my boyfriend who later became my husband. I doubt my parents feel defrauded for that.
