If you’re a colonist in Hawai’i you must understand that donating to local charities does not give you a free pass to live here
Truly caring about Hawai’i means putting Hawai’i and Native Hawaiians first. Caring about Hawai’i means letting Hawai’i go, because as long as colonists and tourism continue to wreak havoc in Hawai’i, the native people will never be able to recover
Come visit but please be respectful and most importantly, go home after
[em]Is buying a couple acres of jungle, starting an organic farm and pumping money into the local economy "wreaking havoc"?[/em]
?????????????????????
Yes. First of all, Hawai’i does not have a jungle. Secondly, there are a million white colonist already doing that exact thing. The cost of organic food in Hawai’i is so ridiculously expensive that these organic hippies mostly sell their food to each other. Locals can barely afford to shop at these fancy “farmers markets” where they collect entry fees and charge for parking. These “farms” hire locals to work for little to no wages.
All Hawaiians want is to be able to own our own land and right now it’s impossible to do because foreigners with their FOREIGN CREDIT SCORES keep buying up everything.
The best thing you can do for Hawai’i is leave us the hell alone.
[em]Ok what about working the skilled trades, supporting unionization of workers and providing key practical services to schools, hospitals and homes?[/em]
You mean taking jobs from local people who are perfectly capable of doing all the things you mentioned and the only thing stopping them is foreigners moving here and depleting our options.
We’re not a bunch of ignorant savage low lives on the rock in the middle of the ocean. We’re not asking for anyone’s charity. We’re literally only asking for our land back and for foreigners to leave us alone.
