"I think women are equal but different."
Only Chromosomally, sure. I was agreeing with you, until... oh dear:
"Giving them the vote isn't equality at all, since women can't feel any empathy towards men"
Emmeline Pankhurst. Leader of the Women's Suffrage Movement. 1914: She was the most vociferous in urging women to work in the munitions factories, supplying the men with armaments, ammunition etc for the Great War.
"You can't be for equality and women's suffrage."
Fact: After said Great War, and acknowledging the vital part women played, men in government had no choice but to give women the vote. It took a war for Ms. Pankhurst et al to win theirs; she became an MP, becoming part of that previous man's world: Parliament.
The rest is history. And speaking of which...:
"In the end, this creates the kind of idiots like the one I'm replying to now."
Your argument has been crushed into two-dimensionalness as surely as if it'd been run over by WWI's innovation: the Tank.
...to say nothing of what's left being vapourised by the Atom Bomb, re. WWII. And that nuclear device of ultimate argument obliteration can be summed up in just three words: Rosie the Riveter.
Without these prime examples of Equality & Women's Suffrage - on the Home Front during WWII, ensuring your very existence today - you would most probably be history.
