So many people are like ostriches with their heads in the sand. They live in their own little world. It's all about them. If they were in reality, they would snap out of it and understand that things are not going to get better: the economy, racial & religious tensions, terrorists, molesters, crime in general.
There is no way out of these end days of Noah and Lot. It only gets worse...especially after...

So close, yet so far away.
Aren't we just Susie Sunshine!
Pick up a history book, you'll see that the economy goes up and down. Religions, government, etc, come and go. There have always been terrorists, molesters, and crime and always will be. It's called life.
Pull your head out of the sand and deal with it.
Funny, my life is almost entirely free of "racial & religious tensions" and I'm a atheist and gay man in an interracial relationship in the Deep South. If things are getting worse, I haven't noticed. Perhaps I'm living outside of reality but how do I check?
Um, besides, I don't think it can get much worse than God murdering every living thing on Earth because he's having a bad day.
"So many people are like ostriches with their heads in the sand."
YEAH!
"They live in their own little world. It's all about them."
YEAH!
"If they were in reality, they would snap out of it"

"and understand that things are not going to get better: the economy, racial & religious tensions, terrorists, molesters, crime in general."
.. They aren't?
"There is no way out of these end days of Noah and Lot. It only gets worse...especially after..."
*sigh*
You were so close to being right until the second to last sentence. You were in the home stretch! Why did you have to go and contradict your perfectly logical condemnation of others being unwilling to see beyond their noses by following it up with Biblical nonsense? Oh well...pessimism for Jesus, I suppose...
"These are just a few of the images we've recorded. And you can see, it wasn't what we thought. There's been no war here and no terraforming event. The environment is stable. It's the religion. The religion that we added to the culture. It was supposed to calm the population, weed out aggression. Well, it works. The people here stopped fighting. And then they stopped everything else. They stopped going to work, they stopped breeding, talking, eating. There's 30 million people here, and they all just let themselves die."
Well, we have overcome two world wars, famines, natural disasters, religious wars, bad crops, sexism, racism(far worse than now), etc................we'll survive.
"So many people are like ostriches with their heads in the sand."
Actually, ostriches don't put their heads in the sand. However, you and your death cult Rapture Ready do have your heads firmly planted up your asses.
But, approximate! By inflaming international tension, the current Republican administration has brought us that much closer to the Second Coming of Jesus!
(Of course, if the Democrats had done it instead, that would've been another story entirely.)
because people think like this.
(Incidently, the reason that I wrote it like this is because a sentence that ends with an elipsis is supposed to have 4 'dots' to it, not 3, due to the period.)

I think that every time I read a FSTDT submission.

Hoy, did somebody ere order a really bloody shining mirror.
"No way out..." Mm-hmm.
One choice is to snivel and whinge for some "god" to "save" them from the real world, via an act of magic which will never occur.
A better choice is to join forces with thoughtful and responsible people around the world, with the express goal of improving the lot of civilisation.
No way out, eh? There is always a way. My feeling though, is that these rapturists are too cowardly even to exercise the coward's option.
Confused?
