I was good friends with a woman who practiced Bah[a] i. Yes, they are incredibly difficult to witness to - it's like trying to sculpt room tempurature water. In my experience, Bahi are very passive people, but very very good at circular logic and side stepping the issues.

"Bahi are very passive people, but very very good at circular logic and side stepping the issues."
So says the rabid gun-fucking right-wing fundie who (along with everyone else in Ruptured Retards) is very very good at circular logic ('The Bible is true because the Bible says so!') and side-stepping reality.
In my experience, Unitarian Universalists, Quakers and Amish are very passive people. Which makes them true Christians.
Something which you at Ruptured Retards aren't .
You should feel right at home then, dearie.
"emphasizing the spiritual unity of all humankind"
Is that what you react against, perhaps? Where's the "we're right, you're wrong", "no true Scotsman" mentality, when everyone is united?
We can't have that, can we?
Mikitta's just mad because Bahai don't reject anything.
Mikitta: Hav u herd abowt jezus?
Bahai: Yes, he is a part of my religion, as are Muhammad, Buddha, and many others.
Mikitta: But some of those contradict each other!
Bahai: Yes, but they are from different times and places. No one has complete knowledge. My faith will be different in 500 years, as will science and all other ways of understanding.
Mikitta: My head asplode.
Sidestepping the issues? In my experience, Baha'i folk happily acknowledge any apparent inconsistencies in their (or any other) faith. They accept that no religious group has all the answers, but appreciate the wisdom all prophets have contributed. They, you know... Are much less insane than fundy "Christians".
If it hadn't been for homophobia creeping in, Baha'i would be one of the few egalitarian faiths. And by admitting that man is fallible and all divine knowledge comes by way of man (no direct-from-God mass revelations, only prophets), they both admit there is no infallible account from God and inhibit fundamentalism.
It is perhaps the only monotheistic organised religion which is even slightly plausible. That must seem confusing to a RRtard.
Passive? Are you joking?!?
I have stood next to Baha'i believers, and Quakers, and Unitarians, and Episcopalians at anti-war protests. They were some of the most fervent, most motivated, most dynamic activists for peace and justice I have ever seen. And they knew the gospel well enough to know that, if Jesus were alive he would be standing right along side of them.
You know what's passive mikitta? Passive is sitting in front of a computer whining "Jesus come soon," over every thing you dislike! Passive is letting the president invade foreign countries that pose no threat to us and pass sweeping laws to curb our freedom and saying, "Well, he's a bible-believing Christian so his actions must be godly."
Passive? Illogical? If you want to see that then turn off RR and look at your reflection in the computer screen. If you want to see the true spirit that Jesus promoted, look to the Baha'i and those other denominations you so arrogantly dismiss as "not really Christian."
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
