Remind me again how gay rights is connected to abortion and birth control? Considering gay people wouldn't--you know--need that stuff? Euthenasia you could potentially make a case for. The wealthier people are, the lower the birth rate. As people become more affluent and less concerned about child mortality and having children to take over the farm and support them in their old age, they start concentrating on having a few children in whom they invest more effort in raising. Homosexuality and abortion don't have much effect on birth rates. They're fairly constant from one generation to the next.

Gay rights is a very new concept, but abortion, euthanasia, and birth control have been around for thousands of years. And I completely fail to see the connection between gay rights and a "culture of death." My lesbian aunt is 101 years old, and her spouse died recently at 102. So just shut the fuck up.

Islam hates homosexuals at least as much as Christianity and just about every other authoritatian religion does. There is therefore no logical reason for a high incidence of the former to encourage a high incidence of the latter. What is more plausible is that the general freedom of thought and action in those countries you mention would allowing both more openness of sexual orientation and more openness and diversity in religious beliefs.
Well, in Holland and Belgium, in Spain not so much, the birth rate is ACTUALLY climbing. In fact, in Belgium is 1,73 children and up and in Holland 1,8. Mohammed is the name among the MUSLIM population, dear, not as a whole. Better try?
