I once met a woman of the B'Hai (sp?) faith. She told me she was Persian. If I recall correctly, Persia is the ancient name for Iraq..........which would make it home to ancient Babylon. Could there be a connection between this religion and the tower of babel?

Mesopotamia...Babylon...Ur. Those are ancient Iraq .
Wiki "Persia". That's all you needed, to get your facts straight.
And it's Baha'i.
Correlation to Babel? None. None at all.
My best and oldest friend is Baha'i.
The best thing about it? THE RULES.
It's not, "THOU SHALT NOT KILL!" "THOU SHALT NOT STEAL!"
Nonono.
"We ADVISE you not to kill." "We ADVISE you not to steal. You can if you want...It's just....Well, it's not very nice at all, is it?"
I, personally, have never met a Baha'i. I am however sure that they don't connect all Christians with Baal worship because their religion originated in a part of the world that once practiced said religion.
No, because the tower of babel was a myth. You will not find evidence for it in Iraq, Iran, Turkey, Israel, Bulgaria or anywhere else you look. Hope that helps.
Lemme guess. You also worry that your Irish neighbors are connected to the pagans that built Stonehenge, despite being 1,000 years since Patrick, and Stonehenge being in a nearby country. At least Stonehenge exists! Can't say that about the Tower of Babel, or Noah's Ark, or the enslavement in Egypt and the Wandering in the Wilderness, or the Walls of Jericho, or...
The Parthian Empire was Persian... and it basically included Iraq. At one point their capital was actually in Iraq as well... Them and their successors had it out with the Romans, nice little conflict that... but then along came the Arab Muslims and dealt with both.
Anyway, point is, there is a connection between the Persians and Iraq... but it goes back quite some time...
And where did that Tower of Babel thingy come from? I mean, really? It's like seven degrees of Kevin Bacon (or whatever that is...)
Persian -> Iraq -> Babylon -> Babel (because Babel and Babylon have the same first three letters, right?).
"Could there be a connection between this religion and the tower of babel?"
Probably not, but who cares?
Confused?
