Did I miss a point here? Did you even have one?
Then why isn´t every fundie member of military, police or fire department. If death is your ultimate victory, you should do everything in your power to reach this status. And dangerous jobs with a large chance of getting killed seem to be the perfect opportunity to die without having to commit suicide ;)
Suffering doesn't bring you closer to God. It's just depressing and exhausting for anyone.
You may not need food in heaven but you sure as hell need it here on earth. I take it you always have food whenever you wanted it.
Get back to me when you or someone close to you has really suffered, been a victim of violence or you have really really been hungry and not able to get any food.

This poster clearly has a powerful intellect and is speaking from an unassailable postion based on pure logic.
We need to take this eloquent speech to heart; lest we find ourselves in the bowels of Hell where not even the most kickass doctor can help us.
Also, judging by his writing style, it looks like he's read James Frey's fraudulent and un-kickass memoir.

Yeah. A doctor who spreads diseases to augment his business and then makes you wait even though there's no reason to.

My question: why isn't the doctor able to deal with all of us at once, why are we permitted to shoot each other in the waiting room, why does the waiting room itself send axes flying randomly in our directions, and why would a good doctor let us writhe in agony as we gradually die naturally, kill each other, or be massacred by the room itself, while he is just idly chatting with other patients?

That's right! Like when the earthquake in China killed thousands of school children. They should have listened to the LORD and not earthquaked! He told them not to earthquake but they did it anyway, so they got what they deserved. Fuck 'em! [/sarcasm]

I had the exact same exerience in my classroom.
At the beginning of the year I told the kids that they shouldn't be violent.
Two months later one of the kids hit another one.
I had told them to not be violent, but they didn't listen.

This reminds me of a joke I heard once: This super-religious man decided to dedicate the rest of his life to God. He prayed and asked God what he should do to be godly, and God answered him. Unfortunately, the man was somewhat hard of hearing. When he died and ascended to the heavenly throne for his judgment, he said, "Lord, I did everything You wanted me to do. I fasted, I prayed, I praised You and Your Son, I did charitable works to benefit my fellow man, a drop of alcohol never passed my lips, and I fought against sexual temptations of every sort. In fact, I died a virgin. I'd like my angel wings now, please." And God, with a look of great compassion, leaned down so the man could hear Him better and said, "You've done many good deeds for others and I can see you have a good heart, so you get your wings, no problem. However, I must tell you that you misinterpreted how I meant you (and others) to live your earthly lives. I said, celebRate, not..."

It's demented ideas like that that produce people like Mother fucking Teresa - who built, under the guise of a hospital, a place where she could bring terminally ill people and, rather than provide competent medical care, simply watch them die so that she could get closer to god.
Your religion is a fucking insane death cult.
You may suffer to be closer to god, but remember: YOU ARE STILL SUFFERING. God hasn't really come through with any kind of reward, but still...you suffer. Voluntarily.
