When you speak about evolution, William, I hope you will use the word THEORY to make it clear to your viewers that there is no factual basis to this view of the world.

Ahhh...warms my heart to see that people on the internets continue to be ignorant of the word "theory" having more than one definition, and how a scientific "theory" is a logical, well-supported conclusion based upon facts, rather than a layman "theory", i.e. a guess.
Evolution is a theory, yet it is the best-working (most coherent and applicable) model.
Creation is a myth, which comes from a book of myths which happens to falsely claim that its myths are true, but creation is still a myth no matter how you slice it. Myth.
There is a study which illustrates that the ignorant are much more self-confident than the well-informed concerning what they think, or know, or believe. It was done by one of the more prestigious universities, I forget which.
Evolution = Evidence supported, falsifiable Scientific Theory (See also; Theory of Gravity, Theory of Relativity, Theory of Plate Tectonics, Atomic Theory, and The Germ Theory of Disease.)
Creation = An myth created by early man, without any understanding of physics, biology, or astronomy, to explain our existence. Examples include: God did it in 6 days then ate a sammich. The earth hatched out of an egg. The Sun Mother came to the sleeping earth and warmed everyone awake. The animals spread mud on the back of a really big turtle til humans, who had fallen from the sky, had a place to live. As an aside, I smacked my head off the desk the other night watching Naked Science on National Geographic. They were talking about Pluto, and while there was alot of great information, at one point the narrator claimed something was "only a theory." Sigh.

@MysticalChicken: As a former fundie, long ago, I remember being taught in a christian high school that theory means exactly what they believe. The only way to get through to them is to keep telling them:
"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."
They are also under the impression that all non-christians are of the devil/satan and not worth listening to because they are all liars. So it is not an easy fight but it will ring true one at a time - I am proof of that.

Definition of a fact is something that can be proven or disproven conclusively, aka "This pen is green."
A theory, particularly in science, is a well-supported hypothesis that nonetheless cannot be totally proven or disproven based on current knowledge, i.e. "Kirk and Spock were boning in the Star Trek Films."
Were you present for Creation? No? Can we prove it to be true or false entirely? No? Then it's a theory.
