Mr. Cathy has the right to his own beliefs, values and opinion when it comes to the issue of same sex marriage.
The self-serving, violent, hate-filled Gay Activists and their political supporters and organizations need to respect Mr. Cathy's personal freedoms and leave Chick-Fil-A alone. They are hypocrites to say the least.
Perhaps people and organizations who oppose same sex marriage should now start boycotting and publicly protesting against people, businesses. organizations and politicians who support same sex marriage.

Indeed he does, and everyone else has the right to criticise him.
I don't think you understand how freedom of speech works.

They already do, dingbat.
Mr. Cathy has the right to his own beliefs, values and opinion when it comes to the issue of same sex marriage.
Sure he does. And gays have a right to protest. That's also in the first amendment.

Being left alone is not a right guaranteed by the Constitution, protest is though. Oh, and by the way, your complaining about the "big mean gays" falls on deaf ears after the way you "Christian" bigots have treated gays for centuries. You can't deny a group their rights (and at times even kill them) and then expect sympathy when they finally fight back.

Fine. That IS a Constitutional right.
Mr. Cathy has the right to his own beliefs, values and opinion when it comes to the issue of same sex marriage.
Agreed 100%. However, so do people who disagree with his support of anti-gay organizations.

What do you mean, "now start?" Groups like the AFA have been doing this for decades.

You mean like MANY of them have been doing (or at least claiming to do) for YEARS?
Yes, Mr. Cathy does. I have the same rights too.
Yes, kiss ins are terribly violent, why, they're just like tying someone to a fence, beating them, and then leaving them to die.
Oh, don't worry, I'll leave Chick-Fil-A alone.
As to the last part, have you been living in a cave, or under a rock or something?
Oh? Wanna boycott LGBT-friendly companies? Well, here's a list to get you started. Have fun, 'cause I guess we won't be hearing from you anymore.

Perhaps self-serving, hate filled anti marriage people should respect the personal freedoms of the pro marriage people and let the marry.
Perhaps pro marriage people should now start boycotting and publicly protesting against people, businesses. organizations and politicians who oppose same sex marriage.
He has indeed the right to his own opinion, but he doesn't have the right to not be criticized for his opinion. Other people have the right to their opinions too, ya know.
Oh, I'll leave Chick-Fil-A alone, you can rest assured about that, as I don't even know what it is. I doubt it exists in Sweden.
Boycott away, what's stopping you? If you don't like something, don't support it. It's basic consumer power, didn't you know?
"....Gay Activists and their political supporters and organizations need to respect Mr. Cathy's personal freedoms and leave Chick-Fil-A alone."
Do you say the same thing about religious activists who boycott Nabisco, General Mills, and other organizations that support marriage equality? If not, then you are a hypocrite,.
This fellow is wrong, but only a little bit.
This Cathy person has the right to express his opinion.
Other people have the right to protest and complain (this is where this person blanks out, it seems).
And the government can't try to force either opinion on either side, especially via legislation and attempts to ban Chick-Fil-A.
I guess this freak forgot that Bill0 the Clown tried to get all his worshipers to boycott France. Granted; that particular episode wasn't about "teh gay" but does serve as a demonstration of Reichwhiners boycotting those, including an entire country, who don't agree with them.
BTW. France was right and Dubbya was wrong.
I'm leaving them alone, I've been doing a personal boycott for close to two years now since I found out they're not just a religious company, they're catering for free to groups I felt were infringing on the rights of others.
I represent lost revenue. And I hope more people will do the same over the next few years. Appreciation day is one day, boycotts can drag on for a lot longer than that.
Perhaps people and organizations who oppose same sex marriage should now start boycotting and publicly protesting against people, businesses. organizations and politicians who support same sex marriage.
Now there's an idea! By golly, I think it's never been done:

Ok, maybe it has been done.
Nobody has a right to their beliefs, values, and opinions.
Otherwise we wouldn't have debate, a legal or an educational system. What people have is the right to express their beliefs, values, and opinions. We also have the right to disagree, we have the right to assemble, and we have the right to boycott.
Deal with it.
Boycotting is "leave Chick-Fil-A alone". Uhmk?
And commenting on Mr Cathy's opinions and choice of sponsorship is free speech.
It's easy people: Everyone is entitled to their beliefs, convictions and free speech,,,somewhere along the way Christians decided only they could express an opinion or counter others, apparently we can't disagree with you. Not surprised, this attitude starting in religion and is evident in politics especially when the politician is running on Christian values, it's a fundie thing.
I disagee with his opinion but disagree more with his support of those who's ONLY agenda is attacking a segment of the population, mostly with lies. That being said, I'd still patronize the business (when it's not too busy with people with nothing to do for two hours to make a lame point) if the food was good and resonably priced (which I mostly read it is) and not give the staff a hard time about their stupid religion and corperate creed (like that idiot who waited to get a free water to bitch out the very well mannered, charming employee. )
It's not like I'd find the Wal-Mart owners good old likable folk either.
Everything that can be said about this cafawful has been said, but only one side has tried to deny free speech. You lot.
Please do. It'll keep you off computers and the internet, since you'll need to boycot Google, all Microsoft products, all Apple products and a fair few other technology providers.
Chick-Fil-A has deserved political controversy. However, from word of mouth alone (not having been there), I think that liberals and conservatives can both agree that they have damn good chicken,
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
