If God was merely punishing people for their own sins, then eternal punishment would be unjust, beacause there is a limit to the sins that one man could commit since man is mortal.
However, the Devils bieng immortal biengs, would create infinate evil, were they allowed to by God, and was God not to end their reign. Thus they needs an infinate punishment, for the infinate evil which they created.
The human servants of such beings, share in the punishment of the devils, beacause that punishment is a collective one, not an individual one.
