No but we have plenty of proof...

1-Prophecies in the bible are history recorded before it happens...that should be enough proof...

2-You have to be an idiot to not beleive...no offense

3-Why should WE prove it?We have faith and you have what?Nothing?WE have undeniable proof and science has NOTHING...

I think I proved my point and if you say Im an idiot or what Im saying isnt true you just prove my point further...really anything you say is just proving my point...

Oh and the Temple can be rebuilt before or AFTER...its a requirement for the Great Tribulation not the rapture

1) I hear this claim a lot and IF the bible did actually have valid prophecy I would definitely take a second look. However, when I try to track down these prophecies, I find no evidence of them being detailed or accurate. There are several that supposedly deal with Jesus; based on those that do not deal with Jesus and a lack of accurate information throughout the Hebrew bible, I'm not convinced that the Greek bible should be any more reliable.

2) This claim is invalid as 1) is not shown to be true. Exactly how am I not supposed to be offended?

3) Undeniable proof would be knowledge and not faith. So which is it?
I have heard that faith has nothing to do with believing in God or Jesus because the bible is presented as proof for them. Faith is supposed to be the trust in God and Jesus to bring about the resurrection, or in your case the rapture. Therefore, there IS absolute need to "prove it."

Science can offer nothing when it comes to death, other than making it more comfortable. If you need God because you can't face the possibility that nothing is exactly what there is, then at least take the time to be educated about what science can offer for the living.

An example of the bible's superb power of prophecy comes from the book of Jeremiah, where Rachel "weeps for her children" who shall "come again from the lands of the enemy".

This was formerly treated as a reference to the Jewish exile and its end, until the Essenes (IIRC) began treating it as prophetic. So when JC comes along, someone writing as Matthew decides to have Herod murder the children of Bethlehem (hence the weeping), all except Jesus, who's family has fled to Egypt (the lands of the enemy).

All very convenient except, (a) there's not a scrap of evidence for this supposed slaughter, (b) the verse says Rachel's children (plural) shall return, and (c) the census Joseph and Mary were supposedly travelling to Bethlehem to attend (necessary if, as prophecy demanded, the Messiah be both Nazarene and yet born there) occured after the death of Herod the Great, who supposedly ordered the massacre.

The story told in Matthew is an early exercise in ret-conning, nothing more.

Vague prophecies that were re-written countless times by countless people, and still believed, are proof that what P.T. Barnum said was true, there is one born every minute.

Faith = I believe, regardless of how stupid or inane or irrational that belief is. Feel free to feel offended, I meant to offend.

If you make a claim, then the burden of proof is on the person who makes the claim.

Science has medicine, biology, chemistry, geology, physics, and countless other fields of study and knowledge that don't require faith.

You've proved nothing, son, except that your language and reasoning skills are sorely lacking.

The entire "rapture" concept is made up. It is not, repeat not, in the bible as you fools present it. Darby made it up, Scofield codified it in his version of the KJV, and countless morons believed it. It's still a made up concept that is not biblical, not that the bible is any great source of absolute truth, being a made up book, too.

If I have offended you, I am pleased, since I was definitely trying to.

I mean, anyone gullible enough to believe in the "rapture" is gullible enough to believe in dragons and unicorns and the entire earth being flooded in a forty day deluge, only to dry up again and the extra water "poof" out of existence. Oh, gee whizz, I guess I offended you again.

1) Show me a single case of a biblical prediction being 100% accurate, in the literal interpretation of the writing (anyone can twist around a metaphor to fit whatever event they want). You can't.

2) Back up your claim.

3) Again, back up your claim. Faith, by definition, implies that there is no proof. Either you have the proof or you have the faith -- so which is?

Ahahaha, why I am not surprised that you can only read the Children's version of Left Behind? Christ, I read the first few books of the adult series, and they were hardly a challenge to get through... anyone over the age of 12 can read that crap. R.L. Stein's books are harder to read than anything Tim Lafaye and Jerry Jenkins have ever come up with.
