I'm wondering is this is another sign of the times: Being Tired!
Seriously though, it seems like everyone I have been talking to lately is just plain worn right out. Christians and Non-Christians alike.
Could this maybe relate to the verse about us running to and fro in the end times?
Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely not lazy. I work, I exercise, I clean. But I have NEVER felt this tired! I just don't get it.
And then I start talking to other people, and they say the same thing, Tired, Tired, Tired. I sometimes don't even have to ask, I look into peoples eyes and can see that they are tired.
I'm not just goofing around, or trying to make conversation, I'm TRULY wondering if you all think that this could possibly be another sign of the times?

Yeah,its a sign of the times, that the mentality in America needs to change. People are getting really tired of working their asses of and having hardly anything in return. I say you deserve time off. I say you deserve time off without having to worry about loosing your home. You deserve good health care regardless of how "hard" you work.

I might also add that you conservatives are the ones who have contributed to this negative environment that has made you tired. Your type feels that nobody deserves anything, even if they work. They have to work HARD just to get table scraps..and then you complain you are tired. You can thank yourself for that one.

Well, the sky was blue here today and somewhere else on Earth it was storming. With freaky weather like that and people being tired I'm sure we're due for The Rapture at any moment.

Of course, every thing is a sign of the end times, being tired, not being tired, rain, sunshine, having an itchy spot on your behind, double rainbows, triple rainbows, single rainbows, having a headache, dogs barking, trumpets blaring, er, and trombones too, geese honking and fundies whining, me typing this comment on my computer. The list is endless. For instance, I've seen a million things today that are harbingers for the end times.

I think, Butterfly35, that you need to become a more confident person. Confidence alleviates feelings of tiredness.

Take me for an example, I, who know nothing about fundamentalist cults' inner workings and machinations, and am an amateur in the arts and practices of divination, yet I have confidently predicted that there will never be a rapture. And so far, I am 100% correct. Further, I confidently predict that I will always be 100% correct on this matter.

As you can probably tell, I'm not in the slightest bit tired, but I'm bursting with energy and confidence. Possibly annoyingly so? Perhaps that's a sign?

There's two explanations behind that:

1- You fundies are such fatasses, you're staring to develop diabetes. Constant tiredness is one of the early symptoms. People can die from obesity-based diabetes, so I suggest you put down the fork and step away from the fridge and start walking your wobbly bottoms round the park once in a while. Your life may depend on it. Oh wait...

2- You're becoming tired of waiting for the whooshfest to happen. Mayhaps depression will develop, then you'll either kill yourself to accelerate the process, or you'll come to your senses and realise that the '(C)Rapture' is, like your Xtian 'faith', a load of bollocks, and realise we Atheists are right all along. Thus welcome to Reality.

A definite case of Heads we win, Tails you LOSE.

Damn, the sunrise was in the east this morning, must be a sign of the end times. And later it set in the west, another sign. We had some rain this afternoon also, must be close to the Rapture now.

People are tired because they have been working for a whole year, and it's time for vacations and holidays; relaxing, bathing, reading, having hot summer sex, or whatever.
Which would be nice, but I have been laid of due to the dire economic state, and will be forced to spend my summer looking for work instead of relaxing. If I am "available for work" at all time, I will receive up to 80% of my salary as unemployment compensation for 150 days, however. So it's not all bleak. We have it fairly nice here in our socialistic country. Those who have a job will have 4-5 weeks of paid leave right about now. Off topic, sorry...

We have NEVER had as much leisure time as we have now. Before the industrial revolution everyone got up at the crack of dawn, got out to milk the cows, feed the hogs and the chicken, collect the eggs. Then in to make breakfast, then out again to work in the fields and the forrests, collect produce, churn the milk, sew some clothes, and then make dinner. The kids were taking care of themselves, the older watching over the younger while doing smaller chores. And when it became to dark to see the work, you got to bed. The only "free" time was on Sundays, when you went to church, where you could sit down for an hour or so, to do nothing. When you were old and gray and worn out, at about 45 you died. If you hadn't already died during child labor or crushed under something heavy while working in the forrest or in the barn.

No need for "exercise" then.
