Ironically, it takes a nation becoming "less Christian" to become more Christ-like. For most of it's history, a large chunk of Christians have not done their faith or their founder any favors. Jesus has the most epic case of Misaimed Fandom EVER! It's like seeing a horde of Neo-Nazis supporting the S.P.L.C. or A.D.L.
I guess that's what happens when you equate the Nazarene with the H.T. version of Deity. The N.T. version of the Jewish God sounds a lot cooler. Jesus himself was a Jew, after all.
I have nothing against the Jewish people and appreciate their contributions and respect their right to practice their faith. That said, I can't help but find the H.T. God a bit....cuckoo.
I don't see Jesus as Anti-Judaism. I think Jesus...or Yeshua...just wanted to re-boot Judaism, streamline it, simplify it, make it more Liberal & Universalist and with a kinder, more rational take on YHVH. It was some boneheads later on who decided to make it a separate religion.
When you look at it, Christianity is kind of a multifaith, Universalist religion. It's a mix of Judaism, Zoroastrianism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Classical Mystery Religion, Gnosticism, etc.
Yeshua was an avatar of Vishnu, like Krishna was.
GOD THE FATHER/MOTHER - Adonai & Mother Miryam - Brahma & Saraswati (Creation)
GOD THE SON/DAUGHTER - Jesus & Miryam of Magdala - Vishnu & Lakshmi (Preservation).
GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT/PARACLETE & PNEUMA - Shiva & Shakti/Paravati/Uma/Durga-Kalika (Dissolution/Transformation/Transfiguration).
Heck, even the later Church's adoption of Pagan stuff can be seen as making Nazarenism more Universalist & inclusive than the opposite (as intended).
TIME TO RE-BOOT CHRISTIANITY INTO THE UNIVERSALIST MULTIFAITH RELIGION/PHILIOSOPHY AND TWEAK THE HELLFIRE OUTTA THEM FRUMMIES AND WARMONGERS!!!!! HA HA HAAAAA!!!!!!
