One thing you have to realize is that all men are born evil. Evil from a babe. I was born evil and so are you. I thank God that he is working in my child's heart. At a tender age she is realizing that there is no good in her. I pray that you too will come to the point my little girl is.
To me Child Abuse will be loving my children all the way to Hell by teaching them self esteem etc. Which is what millions of parents are doing today. If you are parent Stew you have to start thinking about the eternity of your children.

...I hardly think that, just because one is born evil (difficult enough as is; how much malice does a newborn have, and what would they be aiming it at, and for what reason?), it is impossible to become righteous. Syllogism, please? And I'll only accept causal evidence. Empirical evidence is incapable of bringing probabilities to 0 or 1.
Jean, you appear to be a Calvinist. Calvinists are probably the rudest and most blatantly hostile and hateful people I\'ve ever had the agony of meeting in my life. The Calvinist\'s default position is hatred... hatred of all humans, all other religions (and the vast majority of other Christians and Christian sects), and presumably all other life in the universe. Calvinists are also very suspicious and paranoid of all non-Calvinistic theology and philosophies - including all non-KJV Bibles. From my own experiences, Calvinists make the Southern Baptists seem fun by comparison. Yuck!
At a tender age she is realizing that there is no good in her.
Wow, what a *wonderful* moment for your precious little snowflake!

Good thing you're there to emotionally beat her down, huh?
The difference between the Christian and the Atheist mindset, in a nutshell.
One thinks that babies are precious, as they are the ultimate of complete, uncorrupted purity.
The other thinks that they're innately evil.
So, who's the more moral again?

It's this kind of warped thinking that was characterized by my psychiatrist as "guilt over your mere existence".
Oh, DAMN. If I believed in divine beings, I'd be praying for that poor kid...
Fortunately, the probable result from this will be that she hates the hell out of her 'virtuous' mom.
Somebody show this kid a copy of Aristophanes' "The Clouds."
If you believe that abusing and degrading your child will make her a good little Christian, Jean, then get ready for payback: Think how saintly it'll make you when your little girl grows up and kicks the stupid shit out of you.

If teaching your children things like self esteem is abuse, I am glad that my parents have abused me this way ;)
I wouldn´t want to have you as parent.
And we wonder why so many people end up with low self esteem in later life. The "need" to believe in god is artifically created very young. Kids are made to believe that they are nothing without god. These are the same tactics used by cults on adults, people are made to believe that their only chance to be happy / successful / loved / alive (whatever the hook is) is to follow the cult unquestioningly. In adults it takes a pretty powerful cult of personality, but for impressionable kids it can be accomplished at home, and with a fraction of the effort.
I read this whole post, and this woman is a child abuser. it is sick, sick, sick! I feel for her poor child.
Does anyone know where she lives? If so, can y'all call CPS (or whatever it is in that area) and report her for emotional abuse? Please?
EDIT: Oh, wow, read the blog comments -- even the Christians are horrified at this!
As moral people, I propose we track down this woman and set the CPS on her. That's abuse, that is, telling your kid they're a worthless, no-good little shit full of sin and awfulness at all times.
What a horrible, sick person.
I hope you die a painful, horrible death, and that your child recovers her self esteem, becomes an atheist, and is happy and successful.
Of course when her child becomes a crack addicted street whore, it will all be Marylin Masons fault.
To all of you saying call CPS, this is not classified as child abuse. Ritually beating your children in a closet is not child abuse. Spanking your child with a 2X4 is not child abuse. How do I know this? Because I've reported these situations.
Shit I've even heard of molesters who weren't charged because it was a first offence, and what they did wasn't that bad.
I hope your child grows up to be--against all odds--happy and well balanced, and never speaks to you or allows you anywhere near your grandchildren.
Edit: Holy fuck, this horrible woman is a mental health nurse!!! She gets to emotionally abuse more helpless victims!!

Jean, we haven't met but I did leave a comment earlier on this site concerning your little girl and the encouragement it brings to me as I pray for my grandson to come to know his need for a Saviour. I'm so sorry for the abuse that you are going through as you proclaim to the world that we are born needing forgiveness that only Christ can give and without that forgiveness and His righteousness we are headed straight for Hell as the Bible plainly says. What you are saying is THE GOSPEL. Take comfort that Jesus warned us that the world would hate us. I will continue to check your site so I can pray for the Lord to keep you strengthened.

Sweet shit! Yeah, my good mood's gone now. At least these people didn't win the election.
So you're teaching your girl that she is evil and that self esteem is the work of satan?
Someone call child services, get that poor girl safe.
I just have to rant for a moment. I hope I make sense.
I was raised in a household similar to one that "Jean" says is hers. It scars you, BIG TIME.
Now I have children. I have learned that children are not born knowing evil or hate. Those are things that are taught in the home. My children are proud of who they are. They try not to do "bad things", but they are human and we all make mistakes.
"Jean" shows us a microcausim of what is wrong with the parenting in today's society - and why kids are F-ed up!
I end my diatribe with the words of Crosby Stills & Nash "Teach your children well" ... and ... GET THIS WOMAN SOME PROZAC - STAT!
She converted to Christianity AFTER her child was born, and is now a born-again christian who makes sure her child feels she is incapable of good...
Wow. Whatever her issues were before conversion, she's just replaced those addictions with an addiction to religiously-themed spiritual self-flagellation, and is imposing that worldview on her child.
Dear god. I hope that her mother lets her go to public school, because the leavening influences of friends and teachers will be the only thing that keeps her alive until 12...
As someone who was raised in a fundy home, I have the following to say: You have made your children self-loathing and suicidal, and that is actually a bad thing.
I want you to reach into your uterus and rip out your ovaries, you vile, evil bitch.
Want to see something really fucked up? Look at all the support this woman is getting from the fundies who are posting on her blog.
There is no way in hell that this can be considered an isolated incident now!
Why, why, why are "people" (and I use that term loosely) like this allowed to breed?! If it were up to me, couples who wish to breed or adopt should take a mental eptitude test...just sayin'!
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
