He's quite wrong. The gays who vote Republican, at least the ones I know, are quite conservative and do not support gay marriage. The ones who want gay marriage are the ones who want to destroy every aspect of heterosexual culture that they can get their hands on. It's all about their hatred for us and their desire to get revenge for not being normal.

Really, really, REALLY want tax breaks to corporations.
"ones who want to destroy every aspect of heterosexual culture"
Homosexuals ARE aspects of heterosexual culture. How do you think they get born?

Those inhuman scumbags! Kill them! Make them miserable and hurt them whenever you can! It is right to take pleasure in making them suffer. Because they are full of hatred and I am so full of love. Sniff.

When the foundation of "heterosexual culture" is lynch pinned on the fact that a minority doesn't receive equality, perhaps it's better that it's destroyed. Oh, and your alleged gay friends? They don't have to get married if they don't want to. I would say there's a fair bit of self-loathing that would cause them to try and stop the rest of us that DO want to from doing so. That is, provided they exist in the first place, and you didn't just fabricate these friends.
Canada has had same-sex marriage now for over three years. As near as I can tell, nothing about our society has changed. Heterosexual couples are still getting married and having kids. The divorce rate is largely unchanged. Church attendance is in a decline, but it's been like that for the last several decades anyway, so nothing new there.
If the gays are looking to destroy heterosexual culture (whatever the hell that is) they are sure taking their time about it.

That's pretty much the mantra of the Log Closet Republicans:
"If we're rich, the fundies won't hurt us...if we're rich, the fundies won't hurt us..."

Considering all the republican politicians who are coming out every month, I guess that could be true...
With the exception of Ted Haggard, I can't think of any gay people who would vote republican.
Oh, don't forget Senator Larry Craig. You remember him, don't you? No? He's the nice xtian lawmaker from Idaho. He wa arrested for lewd behavior in the men's room at the airport in Minneapolis.
Hey, let's not forget Mark Foley. Yeah, the Florida Rep. carrying on with male congressional pages. Seems like an awful lot of ghey xtian republicans.

I've known a few. There's one in particular that goes to my gym that's a real piece of work. A totally self-absorbed ass who's self-loathing at the same time. I don't know how he accomplished that mental gymnastic but it's really quite hilarious to watch... especially when he's out to the dance clubs cruising on the weekend.
I'll never get the whole Log Cabin Republican thing, especially with the GOP in it's current unbridled bigotry phase.

There are several? I thought it was just Ted Haggard.

You know both of them then.
A good buddy of mine is a very Catholic, very Conservative, very gay man. I give him some points for not being crazy-Republican so much as crazy-fiscal-and-social Conservative. I give him negative infinity points for his incessant love for both Coulter and Palin. Gyah!
Confused?
