I think that creation should be taught and the truths of the Bible, but not religion. We're suposed to be righteous not religious. Religion killed Jesus. The Pharisees were extremly religious. It's disturbing that we're supposed so tolerent of everyone and everything except when it comes to the truth.

The Bible's creation myths and other "truths" of the Bible ARE your religion, dipshit.
"We're suposed to be righteous not religious."
The Bible's definition of being righteous IS being religious, dipshit.
"Religion killed Jesus."
If Jesus even existed, what killed him was a combination of religious fervor and political motives.
"The Pharisees were extremly religious."
Indeed.
"It's disturbing that we're supposed so tolerent of everyone and everything except when it comes to the truth."
Exactly, however, your idea of what is true is, at the very least, suspect.
Actually, I'm all for teaching the Bible in schools. By "the Bible" I mean every word of what the Bible actually says, not some cherry-picked, candy-coated version. We'd be an atheist country within a generation.
It's disturbing that we're supposed [to be] so tolerent of everyone and everything except when it comes to the truth
Yes, tolerance can be a difficult and disturbing quality to maintain but in a democracy it's something you need to get on top of. As a Christian you're kinda called on to be an expert on tolerance. That's the whole "turning the other cheek" deal right? Your religion (yes it is a religion, nothing wrong with that) makes demands on you. Deal with these demands effectively and you'll be a much better witness for your god.
OMK, if you are in T4C looking for truth, you need to back up and start looking for a better site. All you are going to get there is BR regurgitated nonsense.
BTW: What's all this about denying that christianity is a religion?
Shhh-shhh. There, there, OnMy Knees, just move a bit closer...
Religion killed jesus and all I got was this lousy t-shirt.
One of these days I'm going to ask one of these "It's a relationship, not a religion" people what traits religion has that their version of Christianity doesn't.
Until I can do that, I'll headdesk a few times and then go on my merry way.
So, if Christianity is a relationship, and not a religion, why does it have legal protection as a recognized religion in the US?
Turnabout ftw.
Confused?
