People saying that the rainbow is God's promise never to flood the earth again reminds me of the Rainbow Snake stories, and all those other Aboriginal Dreaming stories - all of which are much more believable than Biblical creation. The kangaroo's tail, the bird's colours and the echidna's spikes are my favourites.

Besides, rainbows appear when the sun comes out after a rain shower. I doubt there'll be much fire, what with everything being WET. That (metaphorical) rainbow is there to announce the new ray of hope & optimism President Obama represents.
