Pluto is a part of God's creation, and it is magnificent. There seems to be an agenda behind every major decision made, and this one was not based off of a moralistic agenda -- it was taking a part of God's creation and belittling it to something it is not. A dwarf planet? What? Pluto is just as much a planet as Earth!
Officially, New Israelia recognizes Pluto as a planet in reverence of God.

"Officially, New Israelia recognizes Pluto as a planet in reverence of God."
And not a single fuck was given by the scientific community.
Strange reason to call Pluto a planet. Perhaps this idea occured to you after observing Uranus*.
*I apologize, but you know this joke had to be made.
You're completely barking mad, but other than the babbling about connecting dwarf planets with some weird form of morality, I actually don't really have a problem with this. I guess I hope you also accept Orcus, Quaoar, Eris, Haumea, Makemake, Sedna, Eris and the undoubtedly many other plutoid planets that exist that haven't been discovered yet.
The tree in my garden is part of God's creation, and it is magnificent. In reverence of God, does New Israelia (not a linguist, I see) recognize my tree as a planet? And why should anyone care?
Guys, this post might not be serious. NationStates is a kind of game where you create a country and then run it however you like. This New Israelia is a country made on this, rather than an individual.
That said, New Israelia seems to have ceased to exist as of July 13th.

You know, Distind, I think it's safe to return images to their normal size now. It looks like our resident troll(s) got bored and left.
EDIT: Never mind. I'll just go with the video clip instead.
You've got Eris and ten thousand other dwarf planets to recognise too, or yo're not reverencing your God. Better get started!
I'd suggest you're not being reverent enough if you don't know their classification number, theiir mass, or the length of their year.
@Doubting Thomas
"Then why doesn't the bible mention Pluto?"
Does the bible mention any planets?
(Besides Earth, of course)
I guess Neil DeGrasse Tyson is banned from setting foot in New Israelia, huh? Maybe Prof. "JimboSpice" would like it there, since he doesn't believe that black guys can be astrophysicists.
Also, Sheldon Cooper likes Pluto but doesn't believe in God. Can he still visit your NationState? He's not a real person, but it's an imaginary country, so...
I get so annoyed at these people who insist that Pluto is a planet, even when the evidence points out that it's not nearly unique enough in it's neighborhood to be separate. It's as if people were afraid Pluto would be offended somehow by it's change in status.
New Israelia here however, is less annoying and more side-splittingly hilarious. Never change New Israelia, you make me laugh.
Religious folk tend to see everything that goes against the grain of what they grew up with as an "affront to God."
This is why we have King James Onlyists, because they grew up with the King James Bible.
This is why anti-abortionists are almost exclusively religious, because they grew up in a time when abortion was illegal.
This is why the anti-gay crowd is predominantly religious, because they grew up in a time when homosexuals were shunned.
But this is the first time I've seen the whole "Pluto is a planet! / No it's not!" argument turned into a religious one.
If Pluto is a planet then so is the Moon. Hell, the diameter of Pluto ond it's moon combined would be about the width of the U.S. give or take. If Pluto qualifies as a planet, so do hundreds of asteroids in the asteroid belt.
"And lo Yahweh said "There is a big rock hurdling through the firmament that you can't see (but trust me it's there-just like me) that is a planet no matter what some in the future say. I really care about non-important stuff like that."
-Hidden in the Apocrypha, Ch 2, Verse 8
What about Pluto's moon Charon? It is bigger than Pluto itself. Should we classify that as a planet? Pluto was classified as a planet before we had the knowledge and instruments that we have today. Of course because of the hype that was given to the discovery of Pluto in 1930 some people will always consider it a planet no matter what the science says. It is almost as if their feelings were hurt when it became obvious that Pluto isn't truly a planet.
You, however, have the dumbest reason I have ever heard for clinging to Pluto's former classification.
I wish we could just send all fundies to Pluto.
On second thoughts, what has poor Pluto done to deserve such a thing?
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
