And most Christian miss one key historical fact. Christians (ones that actually are)are 'tolerant' because society and goverments have reduced their power to control.Your religion was nuetured at the end of the dark ages.
They were intolerant as hell when they were in charge and the idea that they are again (85% Christian America)in charge brings all this intolerance to the top again.

Spanish Inquisition. Christian. Tortured Jews to force conversions.
Ku Klux Klan. Christian. Tortured, beat & hung any black people who 'got above their stations'.
Nazis. Christian. Enslaved, tortured, experimented upon, gassed & incinerated 6 million Jews (& other 'enemies of the state') for the crime of existing.
IRA. Christian. Murdered innocent people in Northern Ireland, UK & other countries. 'Kneecaps' & 'punishment beats' supposed drug dealers (basically anyone muscling in on their own drug operation).
Lord's Resistance Army. Christian. Tortures, rapes & murders anyone who opposes them.
Timothy McVeigh. Right-wing Fundamentalist Christian. Destroyed the FBI building in Oklahoma City.
George Dumbya Bush. Right-wing Fundamentalist Christian. Ordered the invasion of Iraq & Afghanistan.
