I wonder how those people that are holding up signs will feel when a "trayvon" sucker punches them in the dark. I'm sure it feels good to hold those signs up in some sort of weird social justice cause but their tune will change when it gets personal.

Somehow, I doubt a black kid half my mass will suddenly leap out at me in an unprovoked attack in broad daylight as you seem to think happened. Even if that happened, a black kid half my size can be easily restrained for police to come pick up.
@Mike Litoris - Really. Zimfenders act like this situation was unavoidable. Like Georgie-Porgie just HAD to stalk/harass Trayvon and just HAD to have a gun on him. Some Zimfenders are so warped they actually claim Trayvon stalked Zimmerman (I'm serious) or that Trayvon was a racist monster who was out to target gay (because Rachel Jeantel claims Trayvon feared Zimmerman was following him because he was a gay rapist) Hispanics (again, I'm serious).
Zimmerman did his job when he called the police. That's all neighborhood watch is supposed to do. As a black man, while I am more afraid of other black men then non-black men (and likewise white men should be more afraid of white men, not black faces they see on the evening news) I also fear nuts like this Zimmerman asswipe. Especially now that this verdict is in I fear bigoted gun nuts will take it as a green light that it's open season on "darkies". Now any paranoid idiot with a gun will feel it's his God-given right to play cop and attempt to police any black man he doesn't like the look of and feel justified to shoot him if the black man fights back and doesn't run home fast enough or plead to be left alone.

That's why I am in complete support of assault weapon bans. While I can accept hunting rifles, shotguns, and handguns, nobody should have to buy an assault weapon for personal use.
Largely, this is because the case is extremely rare that a person buys a "self defense" gun hoping that they never have to use it. In fact, they often seem disturbingly EAGER to use it.
