"Amanda didn't say anything. She just opened up the CD player to find *surprise surprise* a country CD. She knew it was because she said her Grandma used to listen to it."

You... you still use CDs?!

And... let me guess... you still rely on AM radio, as opposed to:

(Canada uses DAB, as does China, Australia, and most of Europe - including the UK. USA, however...)
Whereas (among my collection of digital media players) I have this:

Which enables me to not only listen to MP3s via SD cards, I can even record DAB radio broadcasts onto the same. Which I've had since 2005 (bought second-hand from Computer Exchange for £85, compared to it's original retail price of £199). It's one of four DAB radios I own (not counting the DAB reception of my AverTV tuner device too)including an Intempo 'transistor'-style radio; a Logik pocket DAB radio/1Gb MP3 player combo, and an Asda branded pocket DAB radio. But then, in a year or so, the old analogue FM/AM transmissions will be switched off permanently in the UK; so for the past few years, there's been adverts promoting the virtues of DAB, compared to analogue - as eventually people will have no choice but to buy one.
Also, would I be right in thinking that you still use VHS? Whereas I have for my computer/laptop an AverTV USB digital TV tuner device which not only lets me watch DTV broadcasts (some in HD), but even record such onto the HD, effectively making my 'puter a PVR. And speaking of which, I have one of these:

A (now ultra-rare; collectors on gadget forums would kill to get one of these! £30 several months ago, at a second-hand shop) NHJ MPM-202 portable media player; whilst not exactly the latest Archos, it's an MP3/video (DivX compatible) player/image viewer. And with it's 60 Gb HD (also SD/CompactFlash card slots), in it's dock it can even record TV programmes a la a PVR.
...so please excuse the long, rambling post that's not keeping you from being crushed technology-wise, whilst still in the 20th Century.
...not. Audio track downloads. They exist. Deal with it.
And as far as I'm concerned, Country & Western starts & finishes with Johnny Cash.
Moral: Then you wonder why much of the western world is now secular?! One word: Progress.

'Before it was just our word against his. Now it was "Hey we actually found some physical proof."'
"Proof of what?"
I refer AprilMayJune to the first pic (of a GU official berating her male underlings), certainly re. their mindsets.
