I find creationism more plausible, easier to understand, and leaving oneself quite satisfied.
Of course, I'm mentally subnormal, so that's to be expected.
How the FUCK could you find creationism more plausible? Talking snakes, magic apples, heavenly gardens, a man made from dirt, a woman made from a rib, people who live for thousands of years?
How exactly is all that crap more plausible than the theory of how an organism adapts to it's environment over time?

I'm to dumb to grasp evolution, and being an idiot makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.
Which one do you find easier to understand: the first one, or the one in the next chapter that's totally different?
Also, if you're "quite satisfied" after reading any passage in Genesis, you're doing it wrong.
and leaving oneself quite satisfied.
Aaaahhhhhhhh...good for me, good for you. Win/win.
Fundie mental masturbation.
I find creationism more plausible,
To those who loath doing research.
easier to understand,
Simple answers for a simple mind.
and leaving oneself quite satisfied.
And intellectually stagnant.
[Compared to creationism] I find Pastafarianism to be simpler, more rational, and I get a warm fuzzy feeling from thinking about the beer volcano and stripper factory waiting for me in heaven.
If you really can't handle reality, at least have the sense to pick a halfway enjoyable fantasy to replace it with!

Is this statement by itself fundie? It doesn't say it's true because of these factors - merely that it may appear so to this writer.
The writer may be fundies - I ain't convinced this statement alone is....
The Rev Haslam's complaint that the theory of evolution "encourages people to lead reckless and materialistic lifestyles" neatly exposes the true basis of religion - social control. Just because evolution doesn't keep people cowering in fear of eternal damnation, doesn't make it any the less true. Sadly pursuit of truth doesn't seem to be of much importance to religious leaders.

Yeah right. As it is much easier and more satisfying to sleep all day and party all night long in college than to study hard and take responsibility for your own life.
Children's stories are easier to understand, masturbation leaves one quite satisfied.
But they hardly beat a real scientific article, nor a sexual intercourse with my husband.
I'd take science over children's stories any day.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
