1. You do realize there is such a stigma against rape that many women and most men do not report it. It's estimated that well over sixty percent of rapes are not reported. Less than three percent of rapists are caught. This is in part because of attitudes like yours you pathetic piece of shit. Attitudes that humilate and condemn victims a human crime, and make them feel like whores, sluts, and weaklings for something that they did not ask for, and are not to blame for.

So no. Men and women who report rape are not lying in most cases. They instead are incredibly brave for coming forward and facing such potential backlash.

You spitting on their courage is disgusting.

2. Rape is a horrible crime that causes massive emotional trauma that causes many differing responses in men and women. Crying is just one of them. Common reactions can include PTSD, depression, nightmares, substance abuse, isolation, and a shattering of any safety and self esteem you might have. Shock and numberness are a common reaction. You can't disprove rape just from the lack of tears you ignoramous. Please do research before you open your mouth and make yourself look like a goddamed fool.

Anything to forget the hell that is being violated.

3. You are a loathsome piece of shit for making light of what is an experience that can break a person forever. You DARE sit there and tell me that most men and women would fake such a horrific event for mere riches? As a victim of rape (by my best friend's girlfriend, no less), I still cannot explain every single emotional response I had, even after five years. I've had days where I would cry for hours on end and I've had days where I couldn't feel anything at all. I have never forgotten, I still wake up from nightmares about it. It has fundamentally changed my life.

You belittling the amount of pain that I and so many others have gone through is the easiest way to get my blood to boil. The perceived 'promiscuity' of the victim can and has swayed rape and statutory rape cases.

Actual number of false rape allegations: About 4%. Number of rapes that go unreported is about 60% for women. For men, reporting them is so rare that we don't even have a stat for it. 1 in 6 women will be raped in their lifetime, 1 in 33 men.

When you say Josh's parents should have scolded him a little harder like most would have a stern talking to with a naughty child who pulled a prank and balk at the involvment of police what you're saying is you don't think rape is even a crime.

I'm unsure how to convey this tactfully but I don't think True2God is worth your anger. For what has happened you most certainly have a right to burn with an unforgiving rage at what they represent don't get me wrong on that point but this little shit in particular? They're nothing. There's a good chance they're some near-braindead forum-floating bottom-feeder saying anything they think will upset people for their own pathetic gratification. But even if they're not some smirking pissant basking in the glow of the screen as they make a game of genuinely hurting people but instead one of those sadly too common dregs incapable of understanding much less empathizing with fears and feelings they've never experienced themselves or an even worse embarassment to humanity that mentally equates every person they come across as an object to be straightened out and altered into something more pleasing to them I'd still say that hating them to the point where you hurt is wasted.

I know I'm not exactly the picture of calm deflection once my buttons get pushed but I always eventually come back to the same realization: That much rage and fear and pain gives the people who hurt you power over you. Fear I know very well. The kind of fear that presses on you in the back of your mind even when you know you should feel safe, when you're alone with your thoughts and they start to feel unfamiliar, when you try to imagine a world where you're not afraid and come to the slow, horrible realization that all you can envision is the life you live now but only a more quiet version of that same dread floating in the background than at the forefront of your every waking moment. After having lived that the thing I fear most is letting someone shackle me with that terror once more. Fear is a poison that will paralyze and kill you. Fear is a leg iron that will prevent you from moving freely through life until you wear that giant fucker of a ball down but your legs can become stronger for it. Fear is a broken in pair of boots that you wear as you walk through the fire to look the source of the poison in the eye and rip out its fangs so it doesn't bite anyone else again. It's all these things and even as you work through it and draw strength from it and even when you think you've conquered it fear is always wearing you down. No aspect of working through fear should ever be diminished.

Anger can trap you in that fire and bringing someone carelessly into the path of your anger gives them an opportunity to try and shove you backwards into fear and revisit the pain in its ugliest form. Like I said you have every right to be angry at what this seeming inhumanity represents and I encourage letting off a bit of steam now and again so the pressure doesn't make you explode. But to give your anger to this one specific man, this single insignificant nobody whose validation in life comes at the expense of others, is to give him a chance to hurt and even control you. It's giving him a chance to win.

So vent your anger if you wish. It's yours, after all. But I make the suggestion that the most effective insult is to let those that believe the world revolves themselves (whose greater collective conceit is the driving force of this particular evil) know that they aren't controlling even the direction of your ire no matter how they try to push the bruises.

I'm no saint. There's a lot of room for hate in me but investing it personally into every dickhead that walks by is giving them far too much influence in my life. Even certain individuals who consistently disgust and even antagonize me just aren't worth any more effort than I would put into amusing myself even if the greater scope of why they piss me off is something I'd lay down my life to fix. It'd change who I was - or at least who I try to be - if I did otherwise.
