The slide of morality, due to the removal of THE moral law from all public buildings in the US, is the basis for many of the atrosities that are taking place within the country. The public now has its own set of values replacing the proven historical values that had made this country great in the eyes of the World and it's own citizenry. Obama has continued that slide. Now we accept the sleazy as normal and the degradation of our way of life continues unabated. Sarah Palin may present the country with a choice for a return to sanity in 2012

lol wut, oh, you mean shit like the Patriot act and "shoot first, maybe ask questions later, if we care enough" and the whole "best country in the world" despite our poor education system, shitty economy and lower quality of living?
Yeah, I can see how all of that would be preserved by a quitter that is a hipocryte, a liar, an idiot, and batshit insane for the good of everyone.
Honestly if the next day democrats declared air the best thing for the benefit of the masses you fucking conservatives would immediately stop breathing because air would be a democrat ideal
Yes, I guess we have lost those historical values such as racism, sexism, slavery, gang activity...............
In my observation, the actual standard of morality a society exhibits tends to be strongly correlated with the amount of morality the society can AFFORD to exhibit. Ergo modern society is awesomely more moral than previous societies, a claim I substantiate inter alia by the vastly reduced chance of death by homicide in the last century compare to all those preceding it.
What about all the countries that don't have "THE moral law" in public buildings but also don't have the same atrosities of which you speak?
Believe it or not, there is a world outside of America you know.
"The slide of morality, due to the removal of THE moral law from all public buildings in the US, is the basis for many of the atrosities that are taking place within the country."
You're talking about Bush setting up his gulag due to his disregard of the constitution, right? Those are the atrosities you're talking about?
removal of THE moral law from all public buildings in the US
Sorry, having the Ten Commandments scratched on the sides of buildings does not make for effective, practical government.
The public now has its own set of values replacing the proven historical values...
No, we always had the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights as the values we hold nearest and dearest. Our Founding Fathers designed it this way.

"Sanity" is not the word I'd use. Also, dems wimmins folk ain't to be leaders of us men folk. It's in da Wholey Bibul.
"Sarah Palin may present the country with a choice for a return to sanity in 2012"
Now, I love Sarah Palin, she is one of the greatest comedic characters of the 21st Century. Or she would be if she were fictional. The fact she exists kinda moves it from hilarious to worrying. Which is pretty much the same opinion I had of Bush. She may bring a lot of things to America if she were ever elected, but sanity is definitely not one of them.
Palin?
You're fuckin' kidding, Right?
How stupid do you have to be to not realize by now how useless she is?
Is it just that they believe anyone who proclaims faith will be divinely guided and everything will work?
Hasn't worked yet.
Or is it end-timer wishes to put the most distructive people in on purpose to bring chaos in sooner?
What, exactly, is the moral law that has been removed from all public buildings? You mean the Ten Commandments? Are there really any fundies who honestly believe that if the Ten Commandments were inscribed on the side of every public building that everyone would follow them to the letter? Or, as I believe, is it just a way to try to force their beliefs upon the rest of society?
And please, please nominate Palin as your party's candidate for president in 2012. That will be a fun train wreck to watch. She'll get stomped like a narc at a biker rally.
its funny, but if you look at times when we had the so called "moral law" on buildings the murder rate was higher.
at least that is what your logic says, i think the correlation between the two things is bullshit.
the idea that you think sanity and sarah palin should be in the same sentience lacks more sanity than you are claiming sarah will somehow fix.
What moral law would that be? The Ten Commandments? Only two of which, murder and theft, are actually law in America (three if you count perjury). Your nation never enshrined the Biblical commandments into law. Like it or not, yours is a secular nation and has been since its founding in 1776.
The America you mourn never existed.
If THE moral law were posted at every street corner in America, it would have as much effect on morality as a fart has on a rain storm. If it hasn't worked in 3,000 years, it ain't going to start now.

Yeah, she's definitely the choice for the 1950's. I don't understand why you people don't want her back in the kitchen.
As bizarre as this sounds, I would vote for Sarah Palin for President. The total destruction she would bring down on the US would insure that the Republican party went extinct.
It would take 20 years to recover, but it might be worth it to destroy that vile hateful organization known as the Republican Party.
Yeah. I know if we posted "thous shalt not kill" and "thou shalt not steal" in the local court house and municipal building, all those crooks and murderers would read it and say "Whoa - God says I shouldn't car-jack this guy or shoot the drug dealer who shorted me, so I'd better put away the gun and go to Sunday School".
Jesus - how friggin' naive are these people? What, is this guy like 10 years old? And is Sarah Palin going to single-handedly revoke the First Amendment? Because that's what prevents his own particular religious beliefs from being posted in public buildings; not Obama.
Funny... I happen to think Sarah Palin represents every backwards, sleazy, and lazy thing that's been holding this country back from being great. Anti-science/anti-intellectual religious zealots are trying their hardest to take us back to the dark ages and you think those are the American values that made us great?
I recommend you learn something about The Enlightenment, which influenced all our greatest leaders at the birth of our Nation.
is the basis for many of the atrosities that are taking place within the country
Like, for example, your spelling?
You know what, I'm changing my mind about this whole "mandatory prayer in school" thing. At least when the religionists were in charge, they could punish a kid for poor spelling.
Yeah Mrs. Sarah I-can-see-Russia-from-my-house Palin is going to bring sanity to America. I'll believe that when the rapture finally happens.
And, out of curiosity, why capitalized "the"?
Sarah Palin and sanity in one sentence?
I'm not an American, and I have scant knowledge of your laws, but I was not aware of any great changes of late...
Maybe they mean theat robbing of an election that Dubya did, his first time around?
Sarah Palin? That... joke?
If she gets the presidency in 2012, I'll have no choice but to rechristen the sorry country to the south of us Canucks the "Altered States of Consciousness".
It's bad enough you just started watching the news the last three years but then you choose Fox. Maybe Nick at Nite leading up to it
Shits been going down forever, there isn't one ill in America that hasn't been going on forever. Yes, including terrorism. Klan ring a bell?
And I'm 52, No-one in America would have taken someone like Palin seriously in the 60's or 70's. But then the News was more honest back then
This perception that people used to be more moral is bullshit. People used to do everything that they do now, it was just behind closed doors. I would take living in 2010, even with its whackadoo fundies, over living in 1950 any day of the week.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
