For a Christian, death is the best thing that can ever happen to us on this earth. Death is the moment that we finally get to escape this frustrating blindness and at last see our Lord and Savior. What’s better: to be walking around on this planet or to be resting in the arms of Jesus? Death is not something we need to fear, for death is the realization of everything we have spent our lives hoping for and trusting in. Death is when your faith will become fact, when your submission to God will be greatly rewarded. Death is the greatest blessing God could ever give you on this earth, for death is when He says, “Today is the day I want you to feel My arms around you. This is the moment I want you to see My face.”

I thought God created the Earth and put us on it. It thought living on Earth was all part of the grand design? Are you not honoured to live on Earth?

The whole point of Christianity is the promise of bodily resurrection and life eternal. Never mind whether you believe in it or think it to be a vague promise of pie in the sky developed to keep the poor in check, you can't deny that fact. To change Christianity into a religion of death, to twist its message into necrolatry is, at worst, heresy and blasphemy of highest order. At best it's a deep misunderstanding. Seek help, Anna, I beg you. Something is really wrong with your faith and with your mind. Death is an enemy which will be destroyed, according to Christians, not something to be longed for!

Actually, a very good fundie friend of mine was dying of cancer a couple years ago. When bad came to worse, he couldn't take himself out directly, but he could , and did stop taking his meds. It worked.

Suicide's not a joke. I'm not against giving somebody a slap in the face when they express these kinds of thoughts if the purpose is to shake them out of an unhealthy world view or give them a reason to keep going if only to spite you but egging them on for pure amusement is kind of sick.

No. We do not tell other people to kill themselves. Suicide is not a joke. It's not funny. Anna is clearly very depressed, and needs psychological help, not derision! Though I deeply disagree with her worldview, I pity her rather than hate her.
