Actually, more and more people are becoming Christians and seeing atheism as being ridiculous. In the 21st century atheistic ideology will be dying off. In the long term, churches are shutting down, one by one, due to lack of attendance. In the short term, many of the churches which aren't yet on the chopping block are seeing a modest increase in total attendance, and the not-so-devout members are being replaced with true believers. Past trends suggest that when churches close, they'll usually be replaced with a new one in the area eventually (sometimes at the same location!) but current trends suggest that this is mostly not happening anymore.

For anyone living in a "true believer" bubble and has not yet been directly impacted by this, there's an illusion that church attendance and devotion to Christ are on the rise. In reality, it's just getting more purified and concentrated as it evaporates, to use chemistry-like terms.

Sure... keep tellin' your self that Joney, you need your rest. I live in the deep south which is deeply religious, but even then, alot of the local churches aren't as packed as they used to with the Megachurches only ones have a packed (or rather semi-packed) alters, and they may say they're 'growing' but I really don't believe them half the time anyway, people are becoming less and less religious in this country, which tends to be caused by assholes like you Marky, you and your anti-science, anti-gay/LGBTQ+ and other increasingly less palatable, which in turn is causing alot of younger folks away from religion as a whole. In better terms, ya ain't winning any hearts and minds Mark.

And among the Spiritual paths that are growing tend to be of the non-authoritarian/'Spiritual but not Religious' kind. There's even some folks who are reconsidering Liberal/Progressive denominations like the MCC, UCC, etc. as well as groups like the UUA.

If faith groups are to survive....they need to become Progressive.

Prog Roman Catholics should consider Liberal Independent Catholic Churches or even The Episcopalian Church.

Prog Protestant Christians should consider Liberal/Moderate denominations.

Muslims should consider Sufism or Ahmadiyya

Jews should join Reform Judaism

....Or folks can be like me and forge my own path that blends NeoPaganism with Shakta Hinduism.

Heck; Shaktism needs to become the main Hinduism in India, man!
