Neither do you. You cannot know who is an atheist or not. We cannot prove who believes in a god (theist) or not (nontheist). We cannot prove who believes there is no god (atheist) or not (nonatheist). We can't read minds. You can't even prove it to yourself what YOU are or not. If you could prove it to yourself then you could prove it to me. Go ahead. How do you think anyone can read peoples minds? Magic? ESP? Pretending to know what you are talking about is not the same as knowing what you are talking about.

It really is quite simple. If someone says that they are an Atheist then they probably are. The only exception that I can think of is when a Theist claims to be an Atheist, and then talks about the criminal activities that they've indulged in. This is done purely to try to make Atheists look bad; as Theists like to claim a monopoly on moral behaviour.
This fantasy land approach to listening to speech seems to get to the heart of the problem quite fantastically. For instance, you hear somebody declare that they are an "x" but you are uncertain, because you are not magic. But because you're a "y", you have the special ability to not know whether or not other people are lying and the special ability to not know what the fuck you are on about.
You only have to explain to me why someone who does believe in God would say they don't.
I only know one, S.E.Cupp, who is obviously working an angle: Atheists who believes Christians are better for everyone then those militant rabid Atheists (yes she has expressed that "observation" that only fundamentalists Christians claim is rampant in society and destructive. She's a plant. Designed to steal speaking time from actual Atheists and to support the Christian propaganda against Atheism)
The only other Atheists you hear about like that are the ones that claim they were once a unreasonable arrogant Atheist but found God (Kirk Cameron) and have become wonderful happy light-filled loving Christians. Also a con.
That's right, I am really a bible-loving True Christian (tm). I only pretend to be an atheist to reap all the wonderful benefits that come with being an atheist, such as patronizing comments from believers and assumptions that I am a sociopath. I am sure that god will forgive my deception: forgiveness is his job, right?
Then we can't tell whether you're religious or not. So, then, would you mind not trying to proselytize me? After all, you can't know whether I'm a Christian or not.
So I can't possibly know whether or not I believe in a god? But then you claim that nobody can read others' minds, but somehow you know that people don't know if they're really an atheist?

Would all y'all get the fuck past this stupid "we can't prove anything" shit. There are solid points of evidence when speaking of reality, it's covered way beyond your religious supernatural beliefs. Yes We can prove many things beyond doubt, your faith IS NOT AN EQUAL PLAYER.
I accept when you say you believe in God on face value, you cpuld be hiding something in an attempt to seem humble and righteous (as many y'all do) but you must admit we Atheist achieve little respect in America for our position.
