["Women working outside the home?"]
The problem is, Disciple, the attitude of women today. They do not really want rights - because they have many if they would stop and think. No, women today want to be in charge...they want to do the man's job and be just like him. Women have power they do not realize! A Christian lady who is living by the Book is the lady who is the most free and "liberated" and joyful individual on the earth.
Yes, women have rights - the right to obey God's Word.......

Freedom is Slavery!
You are free to serve, free to obey, and free to submit.
But not free to think for yourself, do what you enjoy, or any of those other things that freedom usually entails.
When will fundies realize that "free" means "without restrictions", not "in accordance with my interpretation of the Bible"? I suppose that's the Fundie Word Redefinition Project again.
The sickest part of all of this, to me, is that if women had equal rights and treatment, these fundie women would still have the right to stay home and live the way they think the Bible says they should, yet they still oppose other people's right to live the way they want to.
when you say "they" and "women today" it's odd that you don't include yourself, "Mrs" Debbie.
And, for the record, YES, we really do want rights. And many, many of us have stopped and thought many, many times.
A Christian lady who is living by the Book is the lady who is the most free and "liberated" and joyful individual on the earth.
Yep. Free from rational thought, free from pesky independence, and liberated from her self-determination.
You have the right to do what I say, you have the right to do what I tell you, you have the right to drill a hole in you skull with a large bore drill. Preferably one intended for drilling natural gas or oil.
So, according to her opinion... she shouldn't be allowed to express her opinion!
A Christian lady who is living by the Book is the lady who is the most free and "liberated" and joyful...
Shut up, bitch!
I love that!
Brainwashing is such a sad, sad thing to witness. Why shouldn't women be in charge? Why shouldn't a woman do a man's job, whatever the hell that is? Nobody should be judged, or hindered, based on what's down the front of their pants.
Women have power they do not realize! A Christian lady who is living by the Book is the lady who is the most free and "liberated" and joyful individual on the earth.
Yeah, this coming from a site where it was said "As a girl, you belong to your dad until your wedding day" (at which point it is assumed ownwership is passed to the husband).
"The problem is, Disciple, the attitude of women today."
The problem is, Debbie, that you're an unimaginative, scared, little, under-achiever with low self-esteem.
"They do not really want rights - because they have many if they would stop and think."
They DO want rights. They want EQUAL rights. Just because you choose to accept a given list of supposed rights doesn't mean others have to settle for that list. If others are granted certain rights, all should be afforded those rights in equal fashion.
"No, women today want to be in charge...they want to do the man's job and be just like him."
Aren't YOU a woman today?
Most women with more than a couple of brain cells want the same right to that job based on their abilities. They don't want to be judged by whether or not they have a penis. Unless a job specifically requires a penis or vagina, that job should be equally available to members of either gender.
"Women have power they do not realize!"
Trust me, some of them realize it.
"A Christian lady who is living by the Book is the lady who is the most free and "liberated" and joyful individual on the earth."
"A Christian lady who is living by the Book?" What, as opposed to a Christian lady not living by the Book? Wouldn't that be, by definition, NOT a Christian lady?
"is the lady who is the most free and "liberated" and joyful individual on the earth."
Let's see, she is not free to speak in church, nor teach men, nor be in any position of authority over a man, nor wear trousers, and she must have children. Yeah, that sounds free and "liberated." Slavery is Freedom!
"Yes, women have rights - the right to obey God's Word......."
Mmm, she has the right to be a slave and a doormat. How nice.
Wow... at this rate, Teens-4-Christ is gonna beat the Christian Forums in the content of stupidity section...
No, wait, I almost forgot about the existence of JohnR7...
Oh, I guess I'm just delusional then. I don't REALLY think I want rights, what I REALLY want is whatever your dumb ass and/or the Bible tells me. Thx for clarifying that.
No, wait, I take that back. Why should I let *you* foist *your* ideas of what I want on *me*?
Mrs. Debbie, you don't actually want to be a Christian. Or married, or a mother, or any of that crap. What you want to be is an entomologist. All women today love insects and want to study them. They want to do Edward O. Wilson's job and be just like him.
I thought you might like to know, so you can start planning the rest of your life. :)
"Yes, women have rights - the right to obey God's Word"
Riiiiight. Tell me that again after your husband, who just happened to turn out (AFTER marriage) to be a drunkard who likes to beat his wife senseless, once again beat the shit out of you.
To quote an online friend, "Christianity - it can't solve a single problem but it will pound women into the ground every chance it gets"
Mrs Debbie, the right to obey doesn´t exist. In fact, work is not power, is the capacity of being self-sufficient and independent what is a right. So, please, look for another argument. And don´t say that a book that enables a man to enslave his daughter NOT HIS SON is a liberation book for women.
Yes, women have rights - the right to obey God's Word.......
Sounds like the "rights" back in the old Soviet Union: "Yes, komrad, you have rights - the right to obey the State or get shot ..."
Liberated my arse.....you got a tub of lard for a master, and he does nothing but make crap up and post it online....hide the lard from him next time.
*sighs and lowers eyes in a "what's next" melancholy expression...I dun understand why fundies are all so POed about the concept of (gasp) feminism...even the womens...*
If you're happy and you know it, clank your chains!
If you're happy and its forced, clank your chains!
If you're happy with a black eye, clank your chains!
If you're happy and you know it, and you really want to show it, kill your husband and clank your chains!
*clap clap*
If you & your ilk wanted women kept in the home during WWII, you wouldn't have the right to freedom to worship. Because you wouldn't have any freedom, period.
Two Words: Rosie the Riveter.
The fact women did their priceless work in the production lines building tanks, planes, guns; making ammunition, and even in the shipyards, ensuring the Allied troops were supplied with the materiel necessary to defeat the Nazis & Imperial Japanese forces in WWII, is, I think, a price worth paying for women having equal rights.
I'm sure you'll agree, Mrs. Debbie. After all, if not for them, not only would you not enjoy the freedoms you have (especially the right to worship), but most probably you wouldn't even exist.
Women. Maintaining humanity's continued existence. In more ways than one.
"A Christian lady who is living by the Book is the lady who is the most free and 'liberated' and joyful individual on the earth."
And let me guess, you are a perfect example of that, right?
Confused?
