If scientist [A] has sacrificed his time, money, and energy to make observations in thename of science, I call that worship. And wehn he posts his findings for the world to see, I call that praise.
you see? worship the mind, then praise the mind.
when we worship God, we are emotionally effected by His glory and respond in emotional praise. This is why we exist ... not to think, but to worship.

So ANYTHING other than prayer is evil?
So when I go on holiday and then show my friends the photos, then that is praise - evil.
When I buy new shoes and wear them, praise - evil.
In fact anything that involves other people seeing me.... evil.
How telling when they say we're not here to think. According to them, we're simply here to be mindless drones.
Here's a real look into the mind of a Fundie, sadly there's not very much to see.
Anytime a person has job (or really does anything), then, you must call it worship. Anytime a person does well at said job, you must call that praise.
You see?
You don't understand the meanings of the words you are using.
Or, you think doing anything but sitting on your butt "praying" all day is bad, in which case, why are you using the internets? You have to sacrifice time, money, and energy to do that, too.
You must be worshipping the false gods of the internets, and appearing here on FSTDT is PRAISE! All praise Ceeking Truth!
When fundamentalist [A] has sacrificed his time, money, and brain to make false claims in the name of religion, I call that idiocy....
Those who sacrifice time, money and energy to build cabinets worship furniture!
Those who sacrifice time, money and energy to cook great meals worship food!
You're a twit.
"This is why we exist ... not to think, but to worship."[\b]
A perfect sound bite for fundamentalism.
I worship so many things. Including StarCraft, obviously. But I apparently worship the school, I worship LARPing, I worship numerous book series, I worship soccer, I worship food...

"I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use."
Galileo Galilei
I sacrifice my time, money, and energy to play Mario games and find stuff in them. Then I post what I've done online for others to see. DOes this mean I'm worshipping Mario?
Of course not; I worship Miyamoto.
So the sacrifice of time, money, and energy = worship?
Does that mean you NEVER devote time, money, or energy to ANYTHING but God?
Because you're committing blasphemy if you do.
If truck driver [A] has sacrificed his time, money, and energy to deliver a load of hogs in the name of truck driving, I call that worship. And when he posts his time sheets for his boss to see, I call that praise.
Damn - we can make almost anything a religion.
"This is why we exist ... not to think, but to worship"
That, folks, sums up the pointlessness of fundamentalism for me.
There is an old gospel song whose chorus rings of truth:
TRUST and OBEY;
For there's NO OTHER WAY
To be Happy in Jesus
But to TRUST and OBEY.
I don't know the name of the person who wrote those words, but they are so true. Trust; obey. No thinking. Thinking will NOT make you happy in Jesus. This is a given.
"This is why we exist ... not to think, but to worship"
This statement stupifies me. I can't even think of anything intelligent to write. I think my brain melted. But there I go thinking again.
Why did god give us reasoning abilities again?
"not to think"
As if you could.
“If scientist [A] has sacrificed his time, money, and energy to make observations in thename of science, I call that worship.”
I have children. I sacrificed significant amounts of time, money, energy, and brain cells to raise them.
You say this is worship.
So my question is, with my three kids, do i practice three monotheistic religions? Or one pagan religion with three objects of worship?
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
