[The mayo furour continues]
I was appalled at the advert. Having young children calling a man "mum" was sad, confusing, and so very wrong. Seeing same sex kissing is stomach-churning to most people who are not homosexual. Please keep adverts to appeal to the majority. I feel this was possibly deliberate to get discussion going and to brain wash people into eventually seeing these things as normal. What a sad reflection on life today.

Actually, I would argue that it is only so for homophobes, or just people who are not familiar with the sight. Honestly, there is nothing inherently wrong with it...(especially if they are both women...)
I have never met a straight person, male or female, who didn't LOVE same-sex kissing (or more) between gay couples opposite their (the straight person's) sex. Normal people who aren't into gay action at least tolerate it, as it doesn't affect them. You see, Joan, the people who react with disgust are more often than not disgusted at THEIR reaction to it, rather than the kiss itself. People who are disgusted by same-sex kissing are generally disgusted at the fact that it turns them on. Especially if it's their own sex turning them on.
We are talking about a TV advert for mayo, aren't we?
You'd think we were debating selling off unwanted children for medical experiments.
The ad is a metaphor.
And same-sex marriage is legal in Britain, so that ad isn't offending anyone it's aimed at.
Actually, my complaint is that the men in question aren't much to look at.
I'm gay and straight couples don't make me sick.
My brother is straight, and gay couples don't make him sick.
So you're made of fail, you idiot. Normal people have more than two reactions to couples kissing. There are levels in between "completely disgusted" and "totally turned on." Like "Meh."
Yes, advertising is designed to brainwash... to brainwash you into BUYING THE PRODUCT. That's the same agenda whether it's men kissing, women drinking Bailey's or a dancing lobster.
And I think all couples are very cute. So your majority doesn't include me. I wonder how many others it doesn't?
I too dislike this advert, just like the fudies I have not seen it, but mayonnaise does not belong in a polite socity:

I actually don't think that the advert had anything to do with homosexuality, nor that the characters in it were homosexuals. The point the ad trying to make was that the mother gained the abilities of a New York chef by using Heinz's products. Incredibly misleading, but what ad isn't?
So by using Kraft products, the woman will automatically turn into a (male)New York Deli Cook, and nobody in the family will notice that it just became a 'gay marriage'?
Wow, I wonder if this is why fundie men don't scrub toilets.

I think my fellow yaoi fangirls (and, heck, the yuri fanboys) would like to have a word with you...
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
