Defendant Olona stated, 'Uh oh, I accidentally pulled out your IUD. I gently tugged and out it came.' She then explained, 'I cut the string than went back and gently pulled and out it came. It must have not been in properly.'
"Olona then stated, 'having the IUD come out was a good thing.' She asked (the plaintiff) if she wanted to hear her 'take' on the situation. Without receiving a response, Defendant Olona stated, 'I personally do not like IUDs. I feel they are a type of abortion. I don't know how you feel about abortion, but I am against them. What the IUD does is take the fertilized egg and pushes it out of the uterus.'
"Defendant Olona stated, 'Everyone in the office always laughs and tells me I pull these out on purpose because I am against them, but it's not true, they accidentally come out when I tug.'

"What the IUD does is take the fertilized egg and pushes it out of the uterus. "
Um.. no, it prevents fertilization. o_O
"The plaintiff demands damages for battery, constitutional violations and negligence."
And I hope she gets it. People like "nurse" Olona who can't do their jobs because of "moral" objections (but have no objections to accepting payment for it) can jolly well find some other line of employment. I hear Wal-Mart is still hiring.
"Hey there, I hope you are doing well. I really enjoy being your nurse. So during my break, I was thinking 'Why don't I pull a medical device out of your vagina without your consent and then have a chat with you about medical ethics?'.
"Defendant Olona stated, 'Everyone in the office always laughs and tells me I pull these out on purpose because I am against them, but it's not true, they accidentally come out when I tug.'
Everyone else in the office should be on trial too for complicity for not reporting and firing this fucking piece of shit.
People like this should be imprisoned or institutionalized, and when they get out, never allowed in any position of responsibility again. And check her house, that she isn't keeping some novel writer hobbled and captive, while forcing him to write books the way she knows should be written.
Accidentally my ass .
You're the kind of person that forces me to ask every OBGYN I've ever been to if he or she or anyone on their staff is pro-contraception or not, because I'm terrified of stupid bitches like you imposing your personal beliefs on me and risking my health for a god I don't believe in.
Shame on you.
P.S. How the fuck are you a competent nurse anyway? The IUD doesn't push an egg out of the uterus, it prevents implantation.
I'm not a rapist. I accidently had sex with her.
I'm not a murderer. He accidently stood in the way of my bullets.
I'm not an idiot a**hole. I accidently pulled her IUD out.
Probably accidently voted for Bush too.
So a medical 'professional' has been removing contraceptives without consent?
Freaking sue her.
"Everyone in the office ... tells me I pull these out on purpose because I am against them, but it's not true, they accidentally come out when I tug."
So stop tugging! What are you, stupid or something?
"Defendant Olona stated, 'Everyone in the office always laughs and tells me I pull these out on purpose because I am against them, but it's not true, they accidentally come out when I tug.'
That statement pretty much blows her case out of the water.

Even if this weren't obvious, obvious bullshit, such an "incompetence" defence works once only. You fuck up once, you find out what you're doing wrong, and it doesn't happen again. Your statement, on the other hand, implies that this so called "accident" of yours is a regular fucking occurence. The first time, it may conceivably have been an accident, if every other aspect of your trial didn't indicate you were a lying sack of shit; every other time since you must have known what would result from your actions, unless you were mentally damaged such that you were unable to recognise patterns of cause and effect and thus unfit for any kind of responsible job whatsoever.
After reading the article, the defendant needs to be sued into poverty. At least the defendant was willing to recommend other forms of contraception, not that the recommendation excuses her actions in any way.
"Defendant Olona stated, 'Everyone in the office always laughs and tells me I pull these out on purpose because I am against them, but it's not true, they accidentally come out when I tug.'
So clearly this is a common occurence. Prepare to pay massive damages.
Yeah, I was considering going the IUD route, but it has zero to do with pregnancy.
So, miss Olona, kindly go fuck yourself, bitch.
Having had an IUD put in and removed (after I became pregnant because apparently I am a fertility goddess) I have to say it takes a damn bit of effort to get one of those things out! Mine was improperly placed, and it still felt like the doc was up to his elbow in there digging for spare change, so her "I gently tugged" story doesn't hold up.
I agree with Equalist - has any one seen an IUD? Not like those things just "fall out" not even with a little bit of tugging... how would it not get pulled out with friction during intercourse then, mmm? Has a nice string to get in the way and be caught...
This chick should be sued into poverty and have all licenses revoked permanently, speaking as someone who has a vaginal ring for PMDD. But hey, I'm sure she'd "accidently" take that out too since it also prevents pregnancy. (Even though my social life is doing more on that front.) Without it I become the weeping beast for 3 weeks every month... I'm sure she'd understand. (Yeah, right.)
I had to have the IUD taken out because it fucked with me emotionally. I'd rip somebodies head off then stand there and cry about it. I can definitely say that it coming out was worse than it going in, which I thought was pretty bad. It felt like the damn doctor was mining up there. Hell, even he was starting to swear and mutter.
So yeah, I'm going with the it's not just a gentle tug. Also, in Canada, I had to buy the IUD from the pharmacy and then take it to the doctors. If these people are paying for the IUD, wouldn't it be theft to be yanking them out? Then again, if her coworkers think it's funny, I have to wonder about how seriously they are taking contraception in the first place. Maybe the doctors are against it and not putting them in correctly.

I had an IUD. It hurt when it was removed because they have to TUG it through the cervix! OUCH!!
And IUD's work in two ways - they hinder ovulation by acting as an object in the uterus, tricking the ovaries into thinking there is a pregnancy. They also cause the uterine lining to be inhospitable to a fertilized egg should the woman ovulate anyway. IUD's with hormones in them are better at suppressing ovulation.
If that counts as abortion, then God is the biggest abortionist on the planet. Not all fertilized eggs automatically implant.
If the fertilized egg never implants, it's just another cell doomed to die. Even after implantation, there is no guarantee it will grow into a viable fetus. Hence "blighted ovums" and "molar pregnancies". And then of course there are the millions of fetuses that simply die for various reasons - chromosomal abnormalities, defective placentas, malformed vital organs...
Damn but some people are stupid!
Bitch. Insufferable bitch. I hope you fucking get fired and never allowed to work in the medical profession again. You have no right to enforce your personal views on others.
Also, even I know that's not how the IUD works. How do idiots like this get into the medical profession anyway?
Confused?
