Dehradun: Uttarakhand Police booked Hindu Raksha Dal leader Lalit Sharma for threatening the Muslim community by ripping out the unborn children from the womb and killing them.

Days after a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) functionary, Vinod Kumar, was allegedly murdered in Bairagiwala village under the Sahaspur police station limits in Dehradun, tensions escalated with reports of riots, large-scale violence, arson, and stone-pelting.

Amid escalated tension and communal clashes, Hindu Raksha Dal president Lalit Sharma demanded that the police kill four Muslims for every Hindu killed.

While pointing at the bulldozer that was in the middle of razing down the main accused Imtiaz’s house, Sharma said, “Bulldozers are meant for Muslims, not Hindus.”

“We will even rip the unborn children out of their wombs and kill them,” Sharma was heard saying in the clip. “The Uttarakhand police needs to become like the UP police. Justice here will be bigger than that served for Surya. If one of ours is killed, we will kill four of theirs in retaliation. We won’t spare these people.”

Uttarakhand Bajrang Dal worker Aman Swedia echoed Sharma’s demands, asserting that there should be a funeral procession leaving the accused’s house as well. […] He added, “Their only goal is for Islam to take over. The Islamic conquest begins with seizing Hindus’ homes, raping Hindu girls, engaging in ‘love jihad,’ and killing Hindus.” He claimed that his community only has one request: “A life for a life.”

A Hindutva mob on July 5 vandalised an under-construction church located in the Subhashgram area of South 24 Parganas in West Bengal, in what was a series of attacks against Christians across the state the same day, raising serious concerns about the safety of the minority community under the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government, as they face heightened threats and intimidation for practicing their faith.

According to eyewitnesses, a mob allegedly stormed inside the church in Subhashgram, still under construction, raising slogans such as “Hindu Hindu Bhai Bhai” and “Jai Shri Ram” as they destroyed the property after breaking down the windows. The attackers allegedly desecrated the altar as well and damaged the musical instruments used for worship services.

Outside, multiple crosses installed on the roof of the building were violently taken down, leaving the members of the Christian community in shock.

In another incident on Sunday, a mob allegedly attacked a Christian widow, Barnali Chatterjee, in Murshidabad, demanding she abandon her faith and give away her property to convert it into a temple. The local residents, terrified of the mob, failed to intervene while the group destroyed the widow’s house.

Ghaziabad: A Hindutva man, identified as Anil Yadav, said the end of Islam could come through genocide, during a religious meeting in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad, making controversial references to the 1947 partition.

A video surfaced on Tuesday, June 23, purportedly showing Yadav addressing a massive crowd, most of whom were dressed in saffron and wearing tilaks. He was heard making Islamophobic comments and pitting the Hindu community against Muslims.

“Islam ka anth sanghar se hota hai (the end of Islam comes through annihilation or genocide),” said Yadav, adding that “Either they will do it or us or we do it to them. Whoever does it first wins. It happened in 1947.”

He claimed that they, presumably the Muslims, “laughed when we cried as they won little by little.”

“Abhi woh gaddar ko marna hoga (now those traitors will have to die).”
