Those talented and clever Egyptians... all kinds of theories have been put forward as to how they could build such marvellous pyramids and be so clever with their astronomy, physics and so on.
How could human beings be hunting apes for 100,000 years then suddenly build pyramids? Many doubt that we could build the pyramids with such precision with today's technology.
From a creationist point of view, it is entirely reasonable that the Egyptians were so clever. They were closer relations to Adam than we are. God did not create a stupid man, he created a genetically superior man who had great intellect. His descendents also were very clever and skillful- Noah etc.
The extraordinary skill and know-how of the Egyptians cannot be explained by "evolution" i.e. from 100,000 years man/ape hunting, then building pyramids.

Really? Can you name just one person who holds this position?
God did not create a stupid man, he created a genetically superior man who had great intellect.
So, ummm... what happened to you?
Of course, humans evolved to be dumber That'd explain why we've got Internet, F-16's, space ships and a life expectancy of 80 years while the Egyptians died toothless at age 30 and considered the chariot and siege tower to be advanced weapons of war.
From a creationist point of view, it is entirely reasonable [...] Everything can be entirely reasonable to a theist as he discards evidence and science and instead makes up the rules as he goes along, thus allowing for divine intervention, miracles, violations of laws of physics, etc. No surprise there.
Many doubt that we could build the pyramids with such precision with today's technology. Right. Big buildings are way beyond our capabilities because we're just too deep in Sin and too far away from Adam and Eve. Totally agree.
His descendants also were very clever and skillful- Noah etc. That Noah allegedly constructed an impossible vessel that couldn't possibly float doesn't mean he was smart. It means it didn't happen.
If I claim that I'm able to fly by flapping my arms, does that mean that I've got supernatural powers, or that I lie?

They couldn't, and they didn't. You can stop showing everyone how ignorant you are now.
Those talented and clever Egyptians... all kinds of theories have been put forward as to how they could build such marvelous pyramids and be so clever with their astronomy, physics and so on. Exactly. In other words, science has long since proven that there are numerous ways the Pyramids could be built with the technology of the day.
Only that the Egyptians, remember, were the baddies in the Bible. And the pyramids are 5000 years old. Quite a big difference if we compare, not to 100,000 but to 10,000 aka Neolithic.

Talented and clever, indeed. All kinds of theories? Name, say, just a half dozen different, credible theories concerning the building of the pyramids.
"How could human beings be hunting apes for 100,000 years then suddenly build pyramids?"
They didn't. Many different types and sizes of structures were developed before the pyramids were built.
"Many doubt that we could build the pyramids with such precision with today's technology."
Many of your brain-damaged friends, maybe. Today's technologies could build stronger, lighter, more precise, more durable pyramids in a much shorter time than the ancient Egyptians could have ever dreamed.

From a creationist point of view all sorts of ridiculous and stupid assertions seem reasobable.
"They were closer relations to Adam than we are. God did not create a stupid man, he created a genetically superior man who had great intellect."
How do you know that? If that is true, why didn't Adam immediately cure cancer, invent the airplane, harness electricity and build his own damn pyramids?
"His descendents also were very clever and skillful- Noah etc."
Noah, the naked drunk?

Sure it can, but ancient man was about as bright as today's humans, we just have more people with more knowledge.

"They had whips, Rimmer. Massive, massive whips."

STOP! You have attempted to hijack evolution, science, movies, television, you are tax exempt, and you have more freedom of expression then a lot of people do.
BUT you are in NO way going to hijack the Ancient Egyptians and their society. They had way better temples, way cooler gods, dressed better, liked to learn, they liked art and were obviously gifted in painting, sculpture, building, bas-relief, proficient workers of the flood plains and built fabulous boats and carts to travel in. Everyone kept their appearances neat and orderly and put a lot of time into clothing and make-up. They were also meticulous record keepers.
Your people lived in the dirt, were made out of dirt, and thought striped sticks could affect the fur colour of animals before they were birthed.
So fuck you, and leave them alone, or Ptah will be summoned and he will smite you with the tombstone he has carved for you.

Last I checked, general consensus was that it was via heaving masses of slave labour. What exactly is clever about that? It's a brute-force solution to the problem, and inhumane to boot.
and be so clever with their astronomy, physics and so on. What physics? I don't think there's a heiroglyph for the atom.
Brain-in-a-Jar: Well, Red Dwarf aside, they might not have relied as much on slaves as we used to think. I've heard one theory that a lot of the labor for the pyramids was provided by farmers during the dry season. Of course, it was still backbreaking work.

The Ancient Egyptians were very good at building things, but they weren't THAT impressive -- certainly not super-human or "extraordinary". They ended up not developing their military technology and techniques, and fighting with stone and copper weapons against the bronze-armed Hyksos.
Also, humans do hunt apes, but there are very good reasons why they have never been a major diet component. Primarily, they breed much slower than game animals and can transmit many more diseases to humans. Apes are a food of the starving and desperate (and thus are unfortunately commonly eaten in Africa today.)
Yes, because stuff either happen overnight, or it never happens. They could not have gradually learn architecture. They HAVE to be hunters, wake up a morning and build a pyramid, or being able to do so since their creation. There is no other way. Period.
Confused?
