Republican shock jock Rush Limbaugh said Monday that the tide of opinion on LGBT rights has turned so sharply that he’s getting seriously freaked out “that Vladimir Putin is saying things I agree with” these days.
Limbaugh was specifically talking about Putin’s move to ban the adoption of Russian orphans by same sex couples in other countries, and how he thinks that’s a good idea.
“It freaks me out,” Limbaugh said. “I have to tell ya, it freaks me out that Vladimir Putin is saying things that I agree with. The Russian president has opposed the adoption of Russian orphans by lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender foreign couples, and has instructed the government and supreme court there to prepare changes to existing law by July 1.”
He added it’s “ironic” that he now agrees with Putin, even after growing up fearing the Russians and being told that liberals secretly love Soviet-style communism.
“To the left, and still today, the United States was the great Satan,” Limbaugh insisted. “And so now here’s a KGB officer who is — this guy is what he is, he’s an old communist — and he’s speaking out against the popular issue of the day in Russia.”

Haven't you ever noticed that the extreme right and the extreme left are actually right next to each other?
Politics isn't a straight line but a circle. Freedom is always directly opposed to tyranny whether it comes from the right or the left.
Two comments:
1. I've always loved this line of reasoning: When someone like Putin says something liberals agree with, it's evidence that The Libs are communist and hate America. When someone like Putin says something that conservatives agree with, it's evidence that conservative ideology is so self-evident that even a communist can recognize it.
2. OH LOOK!! Wow, Rush is saying whacked-out things! He's just so edgy and relevant and.....zzzzzzzzzz......
Translation: Rush's viewing numbers were getting low again, so he had to make up some even more outrageous shit to stay on the air.
After so long, he's really having to reach for it, huh?

Your opinions have agreed with communists since the first day you went on the air. That's why Americans hate you.
Limbaugh is no different from any other conservative christian man; titanically big mouth and ego, infinitesimally small brain and dick.
He is truly a man possessed of an unusual birth defect; the twofold asshole, one of which sits directly above his chin. This is why everything that spews forth from his blathering hole is absolute bullshit.
Why is Rush Limbaugh relevant? I can't wait for 20 years down the road, if he hasn't died from a massive coronary by then, to see how out of touch with society he is, still spouting off how evil gay marriage, abortion, and gender equality are.

@Old Viking
"OK, Rush, we've marked you down as freaked out."
Not as much as this concept will...:

'What is Chaos? Suffering, you might say. Oppression. Deceit. [...] You hunt down the talented and the strong-willed. You break them or sacrifice them. You lie to your citizens and wage war on those who dare speak out. The inquisitors you call masters assume guilt [...] And why? Why do you do this? Because you know Chaos is there but you do not know how to fight it, so you crush your own citizens for fear that they might aid the Enemy. [...] No matter how hard you fight, that will never change. Chaos exists in a state of permanent victory over you - you dance to our tune, mortal one [...] Tzeentch won your war a long, long time ago. '
You are now hearing the above in John de Lancie's voice.

Putin is just as reactionary as you are, Limbaugh, just as homophobic, patriarchal, anti-feminist and "pro-family". He's probably a bit more intellectual and eloquent than you are, though.
Liberals despise communism, dumbass, as they are on different ends of the political spectrum. Liberals and conservatives are much, MUCH closer than liberals and communist.
And Rush doesn't learn anything from this. The fact is, gay marriage isn't a "left" issue so much as an issue about freedom, a libertarian issue, and not in the American sense. Most of the people that oppose it are various kinds of authoritarian.
And it was the Iranians who called America "the Great Satan" and not "the left". If you think Iran is "the left", trying being a communist in Tehran.
Why should you be freaked out for agreeing with Putin? Because he's Russian? Because he doesn't like the United States?
Fascist assholes are the same all over the world. You and Putin should be best buds, Rush.
Putin has always said things Rush agrees with, being an authoritarian crypto-fascist. Only he's more clever and charismatic. I've seen a lot of Freepers say similar things about how they should move to Russia and America needs to be more like Russia and Putin is great, hilariously enough. If only we could show their past selves their future comments and makes their heads implode.
