Well, smoking puts you at a much higher risk of developing cancer than non-smoking... it doesn't actually cause cancer.

Saying "homosexual behavior spreads AIDS" is like saying "black people spread AIDS". It's a true statement (certainly some people who get AIDS get it from black people), but it's meaningless and misleading.

Homosexual behavior doesn't spread more AIDS than other types of sex. Heterosexuals can have anal and oral sex in basically the same way as homosexuals.
When using condoms in the correct way, the risk is something like 5% of contracting AIDS from a person with diagnosed AIDS.
*Might not be scientifically true, but it makes for a better story, doesn't it?
