Why do we all grow old and die instead of getting better and better as secular evolutionists suggest has taken place for millions of years?
Our lives are only extended by a precious few years because of so-called scientific breakthroughs...
Yet the very essence of evolution theory is contradicted by our certain mortality...
This makes the promise of heaven and salvation all the more real and attractive...

Moron. Evolution only favours things which lead to a greater chance of reproduction. Getting older and older does not do that. There is some evidence that we have evolved to exist past our useful reproductive life as that means greater chances of our offspring surviving to reproduce and their offspring have a better chance of survival with two generations to look after them.
Why do you insist on thinking that evolution is some sort of conscious decision rather than an outcome of perfectly natural occurrences?
we die to ake way for the following generation, and the micro-changes that may improve the species.
Sometime in the past mortality was found to either have an advantage, or be intrinsically tied a trait that did.
Our lives are only extended by a precious few years because of so-called scientific breakthroughs...
A few years? Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't science and technology at least doubled our expected lifespan?
When people were nomadic, and lived in wandering tribes, people were lucky if they made it to 30 yrs of age.
With the advent of cities, and clean water, 35 to 40.
Industrial age, 55
Now, with better nutrition and medical discoveries, average life span is 80.
FAIL FAIL FAIL!
What the hell...?
These people don't actually want to grasp the ToE, do they? Or basic hygeine, medicine, education and reality it seems.
"Why do we all grow old and die instead of getting better and better as secular evolutionists suggest has taken place for millions of years? "
Why do fundie creationists make shit up and claim it's science?
"This makes the promise of heaven and salvation all the more real and attractive... "
No, this makes your myth even more obviously mythical.
Because we are not Doomsday .
Also, evolution doesn't work that way, stupid.
Why do we all grow old and die instead of getting better and better as secular evolutionists suggest has taken place for millions of years?
They don't suggest that. If you had bothered to research that rather than to just repeat what your pastor/parents/sunday school teacher/Kent Hovind told you then you would know that evolutionary theory does not describe itself as change in a single generation, but rather slight changes over thousands of generation.
But if you would rather stick your foot in your mouth like a fool then I'll not stop you.
Our lives are only extended by a precious few years because of so-called scientific breakthroughs...
Thanks to the scientific breakthrough in producing insulin via specially grown molds/fungi, my father was able to add around 40 years to his life in spite of his diabetic condition. 40 years of life doesn't exactly fall into the category of "precious few". And what in the theory of evolution would ever cause you to think that creatures wouldn't grow old and die?
Yes, why aren't we immortal?
I'm adding that to my list of questions to ask God on the offchance that I really do meet him when I die.
Once you're past your reproductive years, you're out of the gene pool. The longer you live, the greater the chance of errors creeping into your DNA. So evolution favors people who have their babies while they're young.
"Why do we all grow old and die instead of getting better and better as secular evolutionists suggest has taken place for millions of years?"
Because your "secular evolutionsts" dont exist outside your imagination.
"Our lives are only extended by a precious few years because of so-called scientific breakthroughs..."
And our speed of travel is only increased a few precious miles per hour by so-called automobiles...
"Yet the very essence of evolution theory is contradicted by our certain mortality..."
How so?
Please explain this claim.
"This makes the promise of heaven and salvation all the more real and attractive..."
So reality makes fantasy more real and attractive???
This makes the promise of heaven and salvation all the more real and attractive...
Attractive, maybe. Real, no. Wanting != getting.
"Why do we all grow old and die instead of getting better and better as secular evolutionists suggest has taken place for millions of years?"
Please name these "secular evolutionists" who say this so that they may be tracked down to have the stupid beaten out of them.
Oh, wait, that's right. They don't fucking exist because nobody says that.
"Our lives are only extended by a precious few years because of so-called scientific breakthroughs..."
Few years? When your Wholly Babble was written the average lifespan was 25-30 years. We're now up to 80 or so.
As for your "so-called" breakthroughs, tell me that the next time you need any sort of medical treatment more advanced than blood letting.
"Yet the very essence of evolution theory is contradicted by our certain mortality..."
I don't see how. I know you can't see how.
"This makes the promise of heaven and salvation all the more real and attractive..."
Only to those with weak minds.
The essence of evolution is passing on your genes through your offspring, not living into your 80s.
Please castrate yourself now. We don't want your DNA polluting our gene pool. Thank you.
Evolution says we should get better and better? No. An old joke demonstrates how we achieve that.
First Man: "How do I get to Carnegie Hall?"
Second Man: Practice, practice, practice.
...wh-what? What're you trying to say, that atheists believe humans are immortal?
Evolution takes place by generations, NOT within a generation.
You think mortality contradicts the theory of evolution?
Sounds plausible.
Now spell out your reasoning, taking into account birthrates, fluctuating food supplies, predators, disease adaptation, and the fact that mutations that benefit the young will always have better odds of being fixed in a population than those that are only of use in old age. Once you work through it all, you discover that your proposal, although plausible, is wrong.
"This makes the promise of heaven and salvation all the more real and attractive..."
doesn't seem possible the way you all drone on and on about it. I can't believe you would want to spend one second more than you have to in this cesspool of evil, sin and hatred.
Step in front of a bus, you can pretend it was an accident when you get to heaven.
Actually, death is good from an evolutionary perspective. Organisms must die to clear the way for the next generation. That isn't an attractive prospect from our individual point of view, but I'm afraid reality is the way it is, not the way we would like it to be.
Confused?
